2 months later

Piper stood at the end of the bed, patiently waiting, wearing a black button down shirt (Jason's), while Jason lay down, gently sleeping. She was literally so close to him- he should have been able to smell her perfume from last night, right? But then, given the circumstances of last night, maybe she should cut him some slack.

Cue the blush.

Too bad it lasted for precisely 5 minutes.

"Jason," she whispered, right at his ear. He didn't budge.

"Jason, wake up." A little louder.

Nothing.

"Jason!" She almost yelled it out. How could any one remain this oblivious? She was the master of sleeping, and NO ONE could beat her.

She let out a frustrated noise, and climbed over him, determined to strangle him awake, if necessary. Just as she was about to get her hands around his neck, his eyes flew open. She only had time to register his smirk before Jason got up and flipped her over.

Piper lay for a few minutes, gasping before her heart rate calmed down. Then she glared at Jason, who only grinned back.

"I'll take the liberty to assume that you were nicely surprised." He said, tracing a finger across her cheek. Piper slapped his hand away.

"Surprised, my ass. You nearly stopped my heart, Grace!!"

"Um, isn't that what I'm supposed to do? Stop your heart, since you're in love with me?" He asked innocently.

"Whatever. That was some first class acting, though."

"Why, thank you, McLean. It was my pleasure, although I really didn't want to die by chocking."

He moved off and lay down by her side, staring at the ceiling.

Piper propped herself on her elbow and stared at him. She so badly wanted to tell him something, but her mouth dried up everytime she thought of telling him. It had been going around in her mind for the last two months.

The reason she didn't say anything was because she didn't want to risk their recent reconcilation. She didn't want anything else to break their marriage up.

But mortal desires were such that they inhabited your every thought. And so, finally, Piper decided to say what she wanted to say. HER acting skills were surely activated, and she had a good back up plan too.

"So...I wanted to talk about something..."

Jason looked over, eyebrows raised, though their was a twinkle in his eyes.

"I'm scared already." He joked.

Piper rolled her eyes. "You don't even know what I was going to talk about."

"Yes, but I was just telling you. So you know that my heart is racing and-"

"You're sounding ridiculous, so shut up."

"But I- fine. Just tell me, and then we'll see how I react."

He probably meant it in a joking manner, but those words made her retract again.

"You know what? It's not that important..."

"What? Wait. I know that look. C'mon Pipes tell me, I won't bite."
