Matt had known Tom for a long time. Tom has never been the cuddly type. He always kept his distance. Matt never understood. All he knew was wanting to be loved and cuddled.
When they moved into Edd's house it excited Matt. Matt always thought of them living together as a giant sleepover. He had hoped Tom would warm up some, but he never did. Another thing Matt noticed was that Tom had an extremely strong immune system.
After having lived with Tom for more than two years, he had never even see the man have a cold. So when he heard the other man coughing, he knew it wasn't good.
"Is it cold?" Tom asked. Edd and Matt both said no. Edd walked over and felt Tom's head.
"You're burning up." Edd said. "I'll go to the store and get some fever medicine. Matt take care of him." Edd quickly grabbed his wallet and keys, leaving the two men alone.
Tom sat shaking on the sofa. Matt went get him the softest blanket in the house. He placed it over Tom. "I'll heat you some chicken noodle soup up."
"Thanks." Tom said softly. You could see on his face that he wasn't feeling very good. His complexion was so pale.
Matt hurriedly fixed the chicken noodle soup. It was canned, Matt didn't trust himself to cook it. Plus, this was quicker. He brought it and some water to Tom. Tom took the bowl. Matt put the bottle of water on the table in front of Matt.
Matt went to sit in the recliner. "No." Tom whined. "Come sit with me."
Matt felt his face get warmer. Tom had never wanted him to sit with him. Matt sat next to the sick man. Tom scooted closer. He rested his head on Matt's shoulder.
"You're so warm." Tom mumbled. He placed the soup on the table. Tom cuddles up to Matt as humanly possible.
Matt could feel blush spreading across his whole face. He wrapped an arm around Tom. Tom didn't move except for his soft breathes. After a little Matt could hear soft snoring.
Matt looked down at the man he had loved for so long. It was the first time they had been this close. It made Matt's heart skip beats. Matt kissed Tom's forehead.
He could hear the door unlocking. Edd walked through with a grocery bag. "I got the medicine."
"That's good, but he's knocked out at the moment." Matt said. Edd walked over. He had a look of surprise on his face.
"You are the chosen one. I can't believe he's letting you touch him. Normally if anyone touches him, he'd snap your neck." Edd joked as he pretend to bow down to Matt. Matt chuckled. "Well, have him take this when he wakes up." Edd handed him the medicine. Matt nodded. Edd walked off.
Matt looked down fondly at the sleeping person in his arms. God, if this was a dream he never wants to wake up.
