Matt x Reader
Matt was a hard worker. You'd give him that at the very least. He did a lot of heavily lifting for the store. You were always thankful for that much. You could easily do it yourself, but you're actually fucking lazy.
Matt had this job because the two of you were family friends. Thusly he got the job as stocker for your family's small convent store. He went onto the trucks and brought out crates and made sure everything was in place. He also made sure you were safe when you two ran the store alone.
It was almost closing time. Matt stood by the cash register while you sat upon the counter. It was something you did often when there were no costumers. (Also when your parents weren't there.) Matt sat messing with his phone. You did the same.
That's probably why the two of you didn't notice the unsavory customer coming up to the store. When the man entered, the little bell alarmed the two of you. Looking at this man you could tell something was up. He was too skinny, his clothes were dirty, and he couldn't walk a straight line.
You didn't move. Simply because you hoped he wouldn't notice you if you stayed still. Matt watched the man carefully. You knew Matt wasn't exactly as innocent as he looked or acted. He had been in many fights and won most of them.
Matt was on edge. You looked at Matt, trying not to look at the strange man. He walked up to the counter and placed a few snack cakes and a beer. You scrunched up your legs and tried not to take up too much space. You didn't want to be too rude. Matt began ringing up the man.
"Hey girl." The man talk to you.
"Hello, sir." You replied respectfully.
The man smirked at you. You looked towards Matt. Matt's looked could've snapped his neck.
"You know pretty girls like you shouldn't be working. Someone should be taking care of you." He flirted. He began to reach for you leg.
Matt quickly grabbed you and pulled you off the counter. "Your total is 12.45." He growled.
"Oh, my bad. She's your girl?" The man asked.
Matt wrapped his arm around your waist. "As far as your concerned. 12.45."
You would've normally melted at the action, but you were very scared. Not because the man was making a pass at you, but because this man was obviously on something and could easily pull out a gun. Matt couldn't exactly protect you from that.
"Here." The man said giving Matt $20. Matt quickly gave the man his change. "Let me know when you want a real man." The man flirted as he left.
You let go of the breath you didn't know you were holding. Matt jumped over the counter and locked up after he left. He quickly came back to you.
"Are you okay?" He asked. You nodded. "Did he touch you at all?"
"No. You pulled me away before he could." You told him. Matt hugged you tightly.
You felt your face heat up. Matt was always so protective and sweet towards you. He treated you like a little sister, but dear god did you want more. You looked up at him. He smiled down at you.
"No one will ever be allowed to touch you." He said softly. Matt tucked your hair behind your ear.
"What do you mean?" You asked.
Matt chuckled. "You're baby."
"I'm baby?"
Matt nodded. "Yeah. My baby. At least I'd like to think that."
You flushed brightly. "As like your little sibling or..."
"How about I clarify that on our day off at 12?" He asked. "Want to go to our favorite restaurant?"
Your felt like your heart would explode. "Yes." You squeaked. He smiled.
"I'm baby." You said stupidly. Matt laughed.
