Living with three men wasn't exactly what you pictured when you finally moved out of your parents. It was however, the reality. You did not have a job at the moment, of course your roommates didn't seem to have one either. It always confused you because they always seemed to have money.
For compensation of not having a job, you were in-charge of cooking and cleaning. It wasn't that bad. At least Edd would help. You and Edd seemed to be the ones running the house. Especially on nights were Tom came home drunk.
Another job of yours was keeping inventory. The grocery list was your master list. You even kept track of how much soda Edd drank. Fussing if he'd have more than two a day.
Thusly, as you got down to the last of soda and Roman, you decided it was time. Grocery shopping was your favorite. Mostly because when the guys were with you, it was never dull.
As the four of piled into Edd's car (you taking shot gun) you could tell it was gonna be a good trip. Tom was already a little tipsy. Matt was excited as a puppy. Of course Edd joked with everyone.
The car ride was normal, but as you all walked toward the store, Matt found a shopping cart with a toy cat attached. He squeezed into it.
"I can't believe I fit!" He said. "Edd, we have to use it. It's destiny!"
Edd rolled his eyes. "Matt there is no way-"
"Scoot over!" A drunk Tom told him. Matt scooter and Tom managed to fit beside him. Taking the steering wheel. Tom began to make engine noises.
You giggled at the boys. "What are we gonna do with these kids?" You asked Edd. Edd smiled at you.
God! He was so cute. It made your knees weak. You could feel yourself flush. You wish you had the courage to confess to the brunette. However, the grocery store isn't the place to do so.
"Deal with our mistakes." Edd joked. You laughed.
You and Edd began to push them toward the store. Once inside the four of you got some weird looks, but you could honestly care less. Pushing the cart with them in it was no easy task. It was heavy.
"I wanna drive!" Matt said fighting with Tom for the wheel. Tom snaked Matt's hands away. "Children, play nice or you will be separated." You told them.
You reached up to grab your favorite snack. You could hear Tom mumble "He started it."
"Enough." Edd warmed.
You were just a few inches shy of reaching it. Darn your height! Edd must've saw you struggling because he came up behind you and grabbed it. You froze.
Edd had brushed up against you from behind. Did he even notice? You felt him breathing against your neck. Goose bumps raised all over your body. You turned around to Edd, face full of flush. His was flushed too.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to get that close...." Edd said softly. "I got it down for you." He handed it to you.
You nodded and took it from him. "Thanks."
"Eww!" Matt cooed from the shopping cart. Tom was making kissie faces in you guy's direction.
"I will trade this cart out for a regular one!" Edd told the two. You giggled and tossed the snack into the cart.
"Nnnoooo!" Matt and Tom whined.
Edd chuckled. A small round lady walked over. "You two sure have your hands full." She said to you and Edd. "Though, you two seem happy. What a wonder it is to be young and in love."
You and Edd flushed furiously. She patted Edd on the shoulder and walked off. Edd looked at you uncomfortable. "Okay... do we have everything?"
You nodded and proceeded to check out. You and Edd set everything on the counter. After paying, you two went to the car.
"Everyone out." Edd said. Tom and Matt got out and helped load the car.
On the drive home Matt and Tom fell asleep. It was just you and Edd in the front. You weren't sure what exactly to do. You had never felt this awkward with Edd.
Your mind went back to the lady. You chuckled. "Can you believe that woman thought Matt and Tom were our children?"
Edd laughed. "It didn't look that far off. What's crazier is that she thought we were in love!"
You felt like you'd been punched in the stomach. "Is it that crazy?" You asked.
Edd immediately knew he fucked up. He began to rub the back of his neck. "Well, not that, but it's be a little soon to call it love. N-not that I don't like you, I just-" He sighed. "Let me start over. Hi, I'm Edd and a dumbass."
You giggled. "Hi Edd, I'm (Y/N)."
Edd held one of his hands out for you to shake. You took it. The two of you laughed. "(Y/N) I like you, a lot, but to say it's love would be a little soon."
You looked at Edd in awe. He had never been so mature. You flushed. "Do you want to be my boyfriend?" You blurted out.
Edd's face flushed brightly. "Of course." He said reaching over and holding your hand.
"It's about fucking time." Tom said from the back seat.
"When did you wake up?" You asked.
"When I sobered up." Tom said and took his flask out.
"Are mom and dad official?" Matt asked. Edd chuckled.
"Yes." He said.
