**Eilidh's POV**
Rebecca and I agreed to meet outside the little corner shop near our school every morning. We agreed on this after that time she was off school for a week. She didn't want to walk to school alone anymore after what Jessica did to her. Who could blame her?
No matter what, I was going to be there for her. That was our motto, through thick and thin we would be by each other's sides.
I stand outside the shop, waiting for Rebecca to arrive. When I see her appear around the corner I give her one of my biggest smiles, but she doesn't return it. I let my smile fall to study her face as she approaches me. She's definitly upset about something.
"What's up Becca?" I say throwing my arm around her shoulder.
"Nothing," she replies, giving me the best smile she can manage.
"Mhhm, sure it is." I prod her side and she squirms out of my grasp.
"Stop that!" she squeals. She looks me in the eye, a real smile on her face now. "Can we just dropt it? Please?"
I roll my eyes. "Fine, as long as I've cheered you up."
**Rebecca's POV**
For once, I have a real smile on my face as Eilidh and I head towards the school, her arm over my shoulder and mine around hers.
"You're the best friend ever, Eilz."
Eilidh stops in her tracks. "Don't look now, bitch at 2 O'clock."
Even though she told me not to look, I still do. I see Jessica walk by flaunting her skinny figure and flawless legs in her black pencil skirt and tight white top. Her blond, curly past the shoulder length hair bounces as she walks. But it's not all about looks, is it? It's your personality that really counts, and Jessica's is horrible.
And the moment I was just dreading arrives. Jessica's gaze eventually settles on me and she gives me a disapproving look. She mouths the word 'loser' at me. I lower my gaze to the ground. Eilidh nudges me and gives me a hard look. She was right. I needed to stand up for myself. That way, Jessica would have no power over me.
I take a deep breath and take one more look into Eilidh's eyes to reassure me. I look directly into Jessica's dark brown eyes to grab her attention. She gives me a look as if to say 'tell me you are not looking at me'.
My breathing comes faster and harder. I'm scared of how she will react to what I'm about to do next. 'F**k you' I mouth back at her. She looks a little taken aback, but she gathers herslef and gives me an aggrivated glance before walking away.
I turn to Eilidh, my face full of excitement. She grabs my hands and we don't even care who's watching as we jump up and down screaming.
"I'm so proud of you!" Eilidh says to me as she pulls me in for a hug.
You know what?" I ask her. She gives a look that asks me to go on. "I'm proud of myself too."
