In Your Dreams

Chapter 17

I can faintly hear someone calling my name, but I choose to ignore it and grasp tightly onto my dreamland. Before this person started saying my name, I had been dreaming about Nathan. We were sitting on a bench outside the school, holding each other's hands and talking. We weren't talking about anything important, just getting to know each other better.

Suddenly, I was ripped away from Nathan and lying on the ground, Jessica glaring down at me. She had told me to stay away from Nathan. For some reason, this dream just annoyed the hell out of me. Why had Jessica given up so easily? Why did she just give Nathan to me? These are all questions I would love to have answered, but I wasn't planning on asking Jessica any time soon. She had to have some ulterior motive. I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid.

"For goodness sake, wake up!" someone shouts in my ear.

I groan and roll over, shoving my face into my pillow as if it would hide me from them. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work because they just push my face into the pillow. In fact they continue to do this until I am struggling to breath. I kick violently and my arms wave madly in the air, trying to push the person off of me. Finally they let go and I lift my head, gasping for breath.

"Eilidh!" I snarl.

She takes a step back at my tone of voice. I continue to glare at her until she diverts her gaze to the ground. Good, she should feel bad about doing that to me.

"And I thought I wasn't a morning person," Eilidh mutters.

Even though I'm extremely annoyed with her, I can't help but smile at her comment. Eilidh seems to notice this and grins at me.

"So please tell me why you woke me up by suffocating me?" I say while raising an eyebrow.

She shrugs and says, "I couldn't sleep and I got bored. So I thought since it's almost noon, we could get up and start packing! We are leaving tomorrow morning to get our flight."

I nod in agreement and run a hand through my messy brown hair. My face screws up when my fingers get stuck in a knot. Eilidh ties her almost waist length red hair up into a messy bun. Mimicking her movements, I do the same.

The door swings open and my mum comes bustling in, grinning like a fool. "I can finally make as much noise as I want now. There are waffles and syrup on the table."

I head straight for the door, about to run down the stairs, but my mum stops me in my tracks. The smell of the waffles is already hitting my nose and making my mouth water. My stomach chooses that moment to growl loudly.

"God, what was that, a dying whale?" Eilidh laughs.

I roll my eyes at her and look to my mum. "What do you want? I'm starving."

She just ignores me and looks to Eilidh instead. "Eilidh, after you've had something to eat, you need to go home and pack. Your mum would like to spend some time with you before you go away to New York tomorrow."

Eilidh nods in reply and I bump hips with my mum. "Aww,are you just trying to get rid of Eilz so you can spend some quality time with your favourite daughter?"

She just lets out a little snort, which I must admit I'm a little offended at. "Just hurry up and eat your waffles before they get cold."

"See you tonight Eilz, for our super fun sleepover with the girls," I say while waving goodbye to her.

Her face changes to one of mock horror. "Oh no! Spending two nights in a row with you, how ever will I survive?"

I pretend to think about that for a moment and she just laughs before jumping into her car. Every time I look at that immaculate astra I want to cry. I am just so jelous of it, and Eilidh. It might not be the coolest car in the world, but at least she had one. If I don't get a car for my birthday next month, I think I might just throw a tantrum. Seriously.

I close the door behind me and lean against it. Great, now it was time to go and pack. This should be fun.

Okay, this chapter may not be that long or exciting, but this was just a little filler chapter before the MAJOR chapter. Next chapter, the girls will be flying off to New York to meet the one and only ONE DIRECTION!!

So.... who's got their new album? Don't think I've ever been so excited to get a CD before. So what's your favourite song? I love them all but I've got to say I think 'They Don't Know About Us' is my favourite.
