I shut the door loud enough to let everybody know I'm home.

"Hi, honey," my mum shouts from the kitchen.

I walk into the kitchen to the smell of freshly baked cookies.

"Yum," I say reaching for one. Before I can grab one my mum slaps my hand away.

"They're still hot," she tuts.

I hold my hands out with an exasperated expression on my face. "Which is exactly when they taste the best."

"Caca!"

I'm just about knocked to the ground with the impact of my six year old niece jumping into my arms. 'Caca' was what she had called me ever since she could speak. She couldn't say Rebecca properly so this name just stuck.

"Hey Chloe! How was school?" She was now in primary two and as far as I could tell she was loving school, unlike me.

"It was good. We did sums today and read a book!" she says excitedly.

"Wow! That's great. You're really good at your reading now, aren't you?" She nods in reply.

"Me and granny baked cookies!" she starts jumping up and down.

I take a look at her face and laugh. She has flour all over her face.

"I can see that," I say while rubbing the flour off gently.

"Something smells good," I hear my sister say from the hallway. I hear the clumping of shoes coming from behind her. I look to see my one year old nephew, Rylee coming into the kitchen with a beaming smile on his face. I pick him up instantly.

"Hello, little man!" he smiles at me to reveal his four teeth. I smile back at him and plant a kiss on his forehead. I twirl him around and place him back on the ground. He whines to get back up but I turn to my sister. "Hey, sis."

"Hey," she replies simply. Everyone says that my sister and I look so alike, that we look like our mum. We both have medium lengthed brown hair, and piercing blue eyes. Chloe and Rylee have an even brighter shade of blue eyes. Chloe looks like her mum too. In a way, we all look alike- but none of us can see the resemblance.

"Are you going to tell mum what we made?" my mum asks Chloe.

"Cookies!" Chloe shouts back.

My sister, Elaine, lifts Chloe up onto her knee, much to Rylee's annoyance. "Did you? We'll have to take some home with us, won't we?"

Chloe nods and I pick Rylee up to stop him from whining.

"What's all that noise about?" My dad asks entering the kitchen. Took the words right out of my mouth. He grabs a cookie from the tray before my mum can stop him. My mum just scowls at him.

"Just Rylee, being Rylee," Elaine replies. To back up Elaine's statement, Rylee lets out an ear-screaching scream.

My dad very wisely leaves the room. I put Rylee down and decide to do the same. "Be back in a minute, I'm away to get changed."

I tackle the stairs two at a time. I'm at the top in no time. I take my IPod Touch out of my jacket pocket and look for a song to put on. I choose Little Mix's new song, 'Wings'. I'm so jelous that Perrie is Zayn Malik's girlfriend.

Mama told me not to waste my life,

She said spread your wings my little butterfly.

Don't let what they say, keep you up at night,

And if they give you shh, then they can walk on by.

This song perfectly describes everything that I should do. When was I going to learn that wings are made to fly? That if I don't use the ones that I've been given- the support from my family and friends- then I will be stuck here listening to all those cruel comments from Jessica. I need to just ignore her and get on with my life.
