Chapter 6

Yeesh!!! Sorry for my not updating! I just got caught up in my new room and music and other teen stuff! Love you!

-Shawn's P.O.V.-

''Is it just me or fainting is my best friend today?'' I asked in my head.

My answer was silence. I sighed. It was just me.

I was yet again in complete darkness. Yep! I fainted again. I wondered if maybe I should just stay here. I won't cause any more trouble, I wouldn't have to see those bastards again and maybe I would for once be safe. But I knew that my parents, Alex and my friends would miss me. That's why I decided to go back. I closed my eyes and after awhile, I could see the light.

When I opened my eyes, I was laying in my bed. I looked around. Liliana, and Ashley were sitting on the floor beside me and Alex was staring through the window. I coughed to show that I'm awake.

Their heads shot towards me and they all smiled.

''I'm gonna get the adults.'' Ashley said and hurried towards the door after she squeezed my hand a little. There was silence a few moments, but then Liliana started crying.

''I'm so sorry! If I got to you in time none of this would've happened!'' she sobbed, burying her head into the sheets. I petted her head. She raised her head and looked at me with big, watery eyes.

''Its not your fault Lil.'' I said and tried to smile. It came out more like a grimace. Another tear dripped from Liliana's eye. I wiped it away and took her hand in mine.

Alex came closer and sat on my other side. His eyes were watery and puffy too.

''You guys! Don't cry over me!'' I sighed.

Suddenly the door opened and in came Ashley, my parents and Luna Rose. My mom rushed to my side and hugged me. ''My baby!'' she whined in my shoulder. I closed my eyes and hugged her back. After a minute she pulled back, but still sat beside me. 

Then the Alpha entered my bedroom. I sighed silently. There was too many people in my room.

''How are you feeling Shawn?'' Alpha asked and I focused on my feelings. I tried to find happiness. Okay I never felt that anyways.

Then anger. Well I wasn't angry.

Sadness? Yep, there it was.

''Very, very sad.'' I whispered, still not quite liking my loud voice.

''...And what about love?'' Luna asked after a few minutes.

I laughed dryly. ''Towards who?''

My mom and dad looked at me with sad faces.

''Your mom, dad or Alex. Liliana and Ashley maybe.'' Luna said. I looked at them. I usually felt love towards my parents and my loving brother. Nothing. Just numbness. I glanced at Lil and Ash. I really loved them. Again nothing.

I sighed and looked at Luna. ''Nothing.''

Her eyes widened and my mom sobbed silently. ''In which way?'' Luna asked again.

''Well, I feel numb. Empty. Like I don't know them. Like my heart has a cold mask.'' I said and cringed a little at my choice of words.

Before I could stop myself, I was laughing hysterically. ''Especially empty! No Gray ya know!''

Their eyes widened and I opened my mouth. ''Sorry. I don't know what took over me.'' I mumbled.

''There is nothing you should apologize for, son.'' Alpha said and I nodded.

''What now? Why don't I feel love?'' I asked. ''Not like I felt much anyways.''  I added in my head.

Grace sighed. I just saw her standing in the corner. ''You see Shawn. If your abused for a quite some time and your mate then rejects you, you lose the power to feel love towards anyone. Well, that's said for short.'' she said and sat down in my desk chair.

I frowned. Well that's not fair.

''Do you want to go out of the pack for some time? I could ask my friend from ht other pack to-'' Alpha started but I shook my head.

''I appreciate it very much Alpha, but I would rather stay here. I am no runner against my past. I've been bullied for years. Its the time to watch them being bullied. I want to see their stupidly guilty faces when I pass through. I just don't want to ever talk to Zack or Kayden again.'' I said seriously.

They all nodded. ''Of course.'' Alpha said. ''They won't dare to go against my orders, and I'll somehow punish all of those kids, you like it or not.'' he added.

''Thank you.'' I nodded at him and fell back into the pillows. Then I caught Alex's eyes. ''What's funny?'' I asked, seeing his silent laugh.

''Nothing, just thinking about the payback all of 'em are about to get.'' he smirked evilly and I rolled my eyes, but smiled just a tiny bit.

''Whatever makes you sleep at night.'' I said and then closed my eyes yet again.

''Okay then. Lets leave him alone for a bit.'' Alpha said and I heard everyone standing up. Someone kissed my cheek. ''I know you can't honestly say it back, but I love you Shawnie.'' my mom whispered and then her warmth was gone.

''See ya later then bud.'' Alex said.

''I love you too Shawn. I'm sorry.'' my dad's sad voice came too.

''Bye Shawn, we love you.'' Liliana and Ashley said at the same time.

''We are gonna make this right.'' I heard Alpha mumble before the door closed. I sighed and opened my eyes. I was left alone.

I looked through the window. It was already darkening outside.

Slowly the Moon started to shine at me.

Once again, what felt like a hundredth time this day, I closed my eyes.

How was my life going to go without my best friend? Would he ever come back to me?

A lot of questions flickered through my mind.

Suddenly I heard loud voices from downstairs, but not loud and audible enough for me to understand. Then some steps on the staircase. My door slowly opened and I got up a little.

My mom's head peaked in. ''Sorry to wake you up honey. Just to tell you that your not going to school for at least a week. Sounds okay?'' she asked.

I nodded. ''Thank you mom, it sounds great.'' She smiled at me. ''Good night sweetie.''

''Night mom.'' I answered and she closed the door. I then stood up and locked my door. ''Just in case Zack or Kayden try something.''  I said to myself. I got back under the covers.

''Well. At least I'll have some peace this week.'' I thought, slowly drifting to sleep, wondering if Alex would like to stay home with me, and if mom would maybe make me pancakes.

I cuddled the blanket that was over me.

''I hope Kayden is gonna see what was it like all of those years.'' I thought then I was out like a light.
