Days passed by very slowly for Kayden. Most of his time was spent in Shawn's room. He wouldn't speak much, he only spoke to Jay, and even that was quite rare since the wolf blocked him most of the time.

As usual, Kayden sat on Shawn's bed, staring blankly at one of the walls. He would throw a glance at the window every once in awhile in some kind of hope that the boy would just appear in the front yard.

It was only nine in the morning, but Kayden didn't keep track of the time anymore. He was stuck in a moment, it all felt like same. Day or night, it was completely useless to do anything if Shawn wasn't there.

Kayden was sitting in silence for another twenty minutes until he heard someone running up the stairs and towards the room he was in. The door opened and in came Zack, who was panting just slightly.

''K-Kayden.'' Zack heaved, moving to stand in front of him. Kayden just kept looking at the wall blankly.

''I- Kayden. I know where Shawn is.'' Zack panted out, his breath still slightly hitching.

Kayden's head snapped towards him, his eyes widened. He felt the block in his mind suddenly disappear. All his attention was now on his best friend. He jumped off of the bed, trembling a little.

''W-What?''

Zack nodded like crazy.

Kayden was excited, his heart hammering in his chest, but he felt slightly confused. ''Wait. How are you sure? How did you figure it out?'' he asked.

Zack smiled. ''Well, you see. I went downstairs to get my phone from the living room a few minutes ago, and I saw my mom. She was talking on her phone with someone, but in a different language. At first I was confused because it just sounded like gibberish, but then I heard her say Shawn somewhere in the middle of talking. That's how I know she was talking to him. She laughed and sounded happy, so he's obviously happy too. But then I actually figured out some words, remembered where he was happy while we were younger and connected all of the dots. So now I know where he is.'' he explained, but didn't sound really happy about any of it.

Kayden ignored it and grinned. ''So? Where is he?''

Zack sighed and looked down. ''He's with our grandparents.''

Kayden's heart leaped. ''That's great! They can't live far away from here, right?''

Zack kept quiet and that is when Kayden figured out that something was wrong. ''Zack. Where is he? Where do they live?'' he asked carefully.

Zack huffed. ''South Korea. He's in South Korea.''

Kayden's eyes widened comically and he fell back on the bed. ''You mean the literally-on-the-other-side-of-the-world-South Korea?!'' he shouted desperately and Zack nodded.

''A-Are you sure?'' Kayden asked again.

Zack sighed for what felt like the millionth time that day. ''I am. I was sure he was staying with someone from our close family, and Shawn has always loved being there. We went there when we were around eleven last time, and it was really hard for him to leave. Our grandparents adore him. And he has friends there. Plus, they are the only ones that speak a different language, a.k.a. Korean. I've never learned Korean, Alex and Shawn did, but I do recognise some words. That's how I figured it out.''

Kayden felt dead again. ''Where in South Korea is he?''

''Well, our grandparents live in Busan, so there.'' Zack told him.

Kayden buried his head in his hands. ''How the hell are we going to go to South Korea without being noticed?''

''You aren't.'' a new voice appeared, and the two of them turned towards it. It was Mrs. Miller, leaning on the door.

''Mom we-'' Zack tried but she interrupted him.

''I won't let you two go there alone. I'm going to go visit him this Friday, and you can come along if you want.'' she said.

Zack and Kayden looked at each other. Why was she letting them go see him, if they were forbidden to.

''F-For real?'' Kayden asked and she nodded. Kayden smiled at her. ''Thank you.''

She smiled softly and left the room.

''Zack, can you believe it?! I'm so happy right now!'' Kayden said.

Zack was still looking at where his mom had disappeared at. ''I don't know Kayden. Something here feels wrong. Weird. You know what I mean?''

Kayden's eyebrows furrowed. ''Well, yeah. But let's hope it's nothing.''

Zack nodded. His mother had never hid anything from them, but now he felt like he wasn't told the biggest secret of them all. He sighed and looked back at Kayden, but he wasn't there anymore.

Zack's eyes widened and he looked through the window. When he saw his best friend already running down the yard, he opened it and shouted. ''Where are you going?!''

''I'm going home to pack!'' came a happy reply. Zack groaned and face-palmed.

''Kayden you idiot! It's Monday!'' he yelled and Kayden froze in his spot.

''Oh... Yeah.'' Kayden mumbled to himself. He turned around to flash a 'sorry grin' to Zack who rolled his eyes. ''Get back up here Kayden!'' Zack yelled again, his patience lost.

Kayden huffed but entered the house again.

The two of them were now in Zack's room, sitting on the floor.  Neither of them spoke. Both thought of what will happen in the near future.

Kayden was beginning to panic. ''Zack. What if he won't want to go back home with us?'' he asked and Zack looked at him like he was crazy.

''Kay, sorry to break it to you, but he won't be coming back either way.''

Kayden's eyes widened. ''W-What? But aren't we going to go there to get him back?!''

Zack shook his head. ''Didn't you listen to what my mom said. She said we were going to visit him. Not take him home. He won't go with us Kayden. I know that for a fact. Whatever is happening there right now, it's better than anything that happened here. Be happy that you can even see him.''

Kayden was left miserable. He didn't think it would be like that. Not at all.

''I mean, who knows.'' Zack continued. ''Maybe I find my mate while we're there!'' he said with a happy smile.

Kayden nodded and tried to smile. ''Yeah. That would be great.''

Zack laughed a little. ''Oh I wish. It would be nice.'' Zack was happy while thinking about his mate, but Kayden's thoughts were clouded with darkness again.

''Do you think he'll forgive us?'' he asked and Zack smiled sadly. ''I hope he will. At some point.''

Kayden was still scared too much, so he asked another question. ''What if he- What if he found a new mate?''

Zack snorted. ''Kayden. Both you and I now that it is impossible to have a different mate. Something like that just can't happen.''

Lol Zack you thought wrong-

Hey everyone! This Thursday is my best friend's birthday! I can't wait! I wrote her a letter in Korean and bought some other little things. I hope she'll like it! Luv you all!
