Chapter 13

I just learned how to properly eat with chopsticks! I have to say I'm proud that I've got it from the first try! I needed to do it for the sake of my ramen. Anyways, here's a new chapter!

Shawn munched on an apple. He was leaning onto the kitchen counter and Yara was sitting beside him. They were watching Jaeseumin chase Jason around their living room. Yara groaned and laid down. Shawn looked at her and giggled.

''This happens often?'' he asked her and she rolled her eyes, which Shawn knew literally meant ''You don't wanna know.''  Shawn laughed and bit his apple again.

''How dare you Jason?!'' Jaeseumin screamed and jumped over the couch. Jason squealed and ran to hide behind Shawn and Yara. ''I'm sorry, don't kill me!'' he whimpered. Yara scoffed and put her head on her paws.

''You say that every single time but then you do it again!'' she screamed again and tried to jump over Shawn to get him. Shawn stopped her before she would murder anyone. By anyone meant Jason.

''How do you deal with them?'' Shawn whispered to Yara. She just shrugged.

''Hey guys, aren't we supposed to go over to Alpha's?'' Shawn asked quickly.

Jaeseumin stopped yelling and grinned. ''Yeah! Lets go!'' she squealed and ran towards the door. Jason let out a breath. ''Thanks.'' he said to Shawn who just shrugged. ''No problem. Is she always like that? I seem to have forgotten.'' he asked while they were walking. Jason nodded. ''All these years and I still can't believe she isn't bipolar.'' he whispered for only Shawn and Yara to hear. Shawn bust out laughing and Yara let out her wolf laugh.

''What's so funny guys?'' Jaeseumin asked from the porch.

''Nothing!'' Jason answered quickly. ''I was just telling them a joke.''

Jaeseumin smiled and waited for them to put on some shoes. Shawn, Jason and Yara exited the house and Jaeseumin closed the door. Then they started walking down the stairs and Shawn was left confused. ''You don't lock the door?'' he asked. Jaeseumin turned around and laughed. ''Of course not! The only bad thing that could enter are running pups and Jason.'' she said and then ran away before Jason even registered what she had said. When he finally did, she was already closing the door to their front yard. ''Yah! Come back here Jaseumin-ah!'' he yelled and ran after her. She just laughed and bolted into the Alpha house.

Shawn shook his head and walked after them. Yara was walking alongside him, humming something under her breath. He exited their yard and crossed the cheery road. Pups were playing and laughing. The Sun was shining brightly and the trees swayed lightly in the afternoon breeze.

Shawn walked up to the front door. He reached out for the doorknob but hesitated. It was his first time here after six years. Could he just barge in like he owned the place like his childish older siblings that were taking care of him? He could when he was 11 but some time has passed after all. Before he could decide, Yara huffed and pushed the door open with her nose. Then she nudged Shawn forwards. He stumbled a little but walked in afterwards.

He could her Jaseumin laughing so he followed the sound. They were sitting on the kitchen island, talking to a tall man. Yara ran past him and snuggled her head into his hand. The man looked down and smiled. ''Hey Yara. Haven't seen you in awhile.'' he said. His Korean had a heavy Busan accent to it but Shawn understood him pretty well.

''Oh Shawn! You took your time!'' Jaeseumin said cheerfully. The man then turned around and smiled. He had black eyes and a very sharp jawline. His black hair was slightly parted so his forehead was revealed. His lips were stretched in a boxy grin with a dimple at the left side of it. He wore a black t-shirt and acid-washed jeans with Puma's on his legs.
