Chapter 18

It was ten in the morning when Shawn came down the stairs and joined Baekhyuk in the kitchen. He sat down at the kitchen island and watched him make waffles when he remembered that he actually wanted to talk to him.

''Baekhyuk-hyung?'' Shawn started quietly. Jihyuk was showering upstairs but Shawn was still extra cautious. He didn't want the older boy to hear them talking.

''Yes? Anything bothering you?'' Baekhyuk asked with worry in his voice. He turned from the stove and faced the younger. Shawn shook his head with a small smile on his lips. ''No hyung, I just have a question.'' he said and Baekhyuk smiled. ''Well in that case, what's your question?''

''Ah right. Hyung. When your face, like, grows warm, what does it mean?'' Shawn asked and Baekhyuk pouted so he could focus better. ''Well'' he started and leaned on the island ''It can mean two things. In that situation you are or hot, or you like someone.'' he said and looked back at Shawn. ''Why? Has it happened?''

Shawn was left confused. ''Like someone? I never liked anyone like that.'' Baekhyuk just smiled. ''You're getting happier, Shawn. Things will change for the better you know. So, who did you blush to?'' he asked, his eyes glinting curiously.

The Goddess herself knew that Park Baekhyuk loved drama more then everything. Excluding his family of course. But the Park family was constant drama itself so he never needed to worry. With Jihyuk around, it was practically impossible to have even a day without drama. But now he smelled new drama in the air, and he loved it.

Shawn was confused yet again. ''What's blush?'' Baekhyuk couldn't stifle a little laugh. ''Blushing is the second of the two things. It means your face getting red when you like someone. Sooo who was it?'' the older male explained and squealed, leaning even closer to Shawn.

''Isn't that supposed to be a secret hyung?'' Shawn asked and Baekhyuk snorted. ''Of course it is, but you will tell it to your favorite hyung, right?'' he asked with big puppy eyes. Shawn laughed. ''Everything for you hyung. So um... It was Jihyuk.'' he confessed and Baekhyuk's jaw dropped.

''FUCKING YES!!!'' the small male yelled and Shawn flinched. Baekhyuk jumped on top of the marble island and did a weird happy dance. ''I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!!!'' he screamed and squealed until a very shocked and worried Daeshim walked into the kitchen. He wasn't too scared, Baekhyuk often screamed in happiness but heck, that one was loud.

As soon as he saw him on top of the counter, his eyes widened. ''Baek what the hell are you doing?! You'll hurt yourself!'' he said and quickly grabbed his mate's waist and put him down. Baekhyuk didn't even notice, he just continued to squeal. 

Daeshim shrugged and bent his head down to whisper into Baekhyuk's ear. Baekhyuk instantly grew red and jumped away from Daeshim who was now grinning. Baekhyuk hid his face in his small hands and let out a humiliated whine. ''Dae there's a child in the room.'' he whined while Daeshim laughed. ''Just don't do that again.'' he spoke softly and pecked Baekhyuk's lips lightly, winked at Shawn and left the kitchen.

Shawn couldn't help but laugh. ''What was all that about?'' he asked but Baekhyuk shook his head frantically. ''Nothing at all. So, where were we? Oh yes. You like Jihyukie!!!'' he squealed again and Shawn groaned. ''But how hyung? My heart is supposed to be dead.'' he said like it didn't bother him at all but Baekhyuk flinched a little. He moved forward and placed a palm over Shawn's heart. It was beating a little faster then normal, but Shawn was worried, so it was normal.

''Shawn.'' Baekhyuk said and the said boy looked at him. Baekhyuk smiled softly. ''Whatever they told you, a heart cannot die. With a mate or not. It will always beat for the people it loves, no matter what.'' he said with a smile on his lips which Shawn returned. ''Thank you hyung.'' he whispered.

Baekhyuk grinned. ''No problem Shawnie. We'll figure it out. But for now, you need to talk to Hyuk.'' he said and Shawn nodded. Right after that, they heard skipping down the stairs.

''Good morning everybody!'' Jihyuk shouted when he became visible to them. His mouth forming a boxy grin, hair shining in the morning light.

''Hey hey baby.'' Baekhyuk chirped and went back to the kitchen. ''Breakfast is ready when you two want to come!'' he yelled after he had disappeared.

Jihyuk smiled at Shawn and entered the kitchen. Shawn's heart sped up suddenly and the boy frowned. ''What the hell is happening?'' he murmured to himself and went after the elders.  He really wished that Hoesaeg was with him.

After they ate, Shawn and Jihyuk picked up Yara, who was very happy to see them, and went to the forest again.

''Hey hyung?'' Shawn spoke softly. The two of them were sitting under their tree, watching Yara that was catching butterflies.

''Yeah?'' the older boy answered. Shawn took in a breath. ''Have you ever been in love?''

Jihyuk closed his eyes and sighed. ''Yes. All my life in fact.''

Shawn ignored the painful clench in his heart and frowned. ''Are they not your mate or something?''

''They are. But it's complicated. I don't know if I should tell them or not.'' he said sadly. Shawn put his head on Jihyuk's shoulder and smiled at Yara, who was pawing at a big butterfly. ''I think you should tell them when you think is the right time.'' he said.

Jihyuk laughed. ''You're right. I will.'' he said and looked up at the trees. They were swaying in the summer breeze. It was going to get hotter tomorrow, at least that is what they said in the weather forecast. He sighed. It was nice.

But Shawn was right. He should make some kind of move soon. He knew it. But how to do it? That was the constant question in his mind. The one even Chanyoung couldn't help with. His wolf just whined softly and shrugged afterwards.

The rest of the day was spent in laughter. And well, shrieks when Yara tried to eat a butterfly.

Yay I updated! I'm sorry for the wait guys. Sorry if this chapter was short, the next ones will have lots of drama, so that means longer.

Also I've seen some confused comments. Hyung is an honorific in Korea from a younger boy to an older one for showing respect. Politeness is very important there, so everyone shows respect to their elders. Also, don't worry, Kayden will appear in the next chapters! So will Zack.
