Chapter 19

Shawn groaned and trashed around in his bed. It was so hot. He woke up all sweaty and took a shower, but it didn't help much. He had turned on both his A.C. and the big rotating fan. However, neither of them started to work yet so he felt like he was dying.

Just as the temperature finally started to fall, Shawn heard loud panting from the outside of his room. Then the door opened and in came Jihyuk. He was sweaty all over, looking plain exhausted.

''Hyung? What happened to you?'' Shawn asked, slipping off of his bed to help the older boy stand up properly.

''I-literally-just-crossed-the street-and-almost-died. It's-so-hot!'' Jihyuk huffed out between pants. Shawn patted his shoulder in understanding.

''Go take a shower. I have some of your clothes here since you forgot them the last time you were here.'' Shawn told him and Jihyuk disappeared into the bathroom. Shawn put his clothes on the sink and sat back on his bed to wait for him.

''Hey Shawn?'' Jihyuk asked, walking out of the bathroom after fifteen minutes. He was now dressed in a light blue tank top of his and some comfortable shorts, fluffing up his slightly damp blue hair with a towel.

''Yeah?'' the other answered, patting the spot beside him. Jihyuk sat down and they turned towards each other.

''Do you remember the day you were leaving six years ago?'' the blue haired male asked while running a hand through it and Shawn furrowed his eyebrows. ''Yes of course. Why?''

Jihyuk smirked cheekily. ''Do you remember how we found out you like boys just before you drove off?''

Shawn was thinking for a moment. Then he suddenly went beet red and hid his face in his hands. Jihyuk laughed. ''I'll take that as a yes. So tell me. What happened?'' he asked with a innocent voice.

''You know what happened.'' Shawn said quietly.

Jihyuk grinned. ''No I don't. I think you'll have to remind me.''

Shawn scowled at him but cleared his throat anyway. ''I-uh. Told you I'm not sure if I liked girls.'' he said nervously. Jihyuk smirked wider. ''What happened after that?''

Shawn groaned. ''You-uh. You kissed me to prove it.'' he mumbled. Jihyuk laughed.

''That was helping me a lot through the years you know. Thinking about you.'' Shawn said, taking Jihyuk's hand into his. Jihyuk's breath hitched and he stared at Shawn. ''What do you mean?''

Shawn sighed sadly. ''Well. Whenever I had... Suicidal thoughts... And they were quite often, I thought about being able to see this again. Our houses, Jason-hyung, Jaeseumin-noona, Baekhyuk-hyung, Dashim-hyung, Yara...'' he paused and took in a breath. Shawn looked up at Jihyuk, noticing the terrified look on his face. ''You.''

Jihyuk could fell tears welling up in his eyes.

''The memories of us playing together and your face at all helped me through everything I've been through. I missed you so much, and that kept me alive. I couldn't let myself leave without seeing you even just one more time.''

A tear slipped out of Jihyuk's eye. He pulled the smaller boy closer and tightly hugged him. ''I'm terrified and relieved at the same time.'' he whispered weakly. ''I just can't believe you were thinking about suicide. I don't know what I would do if you were gone. I just can't imagine my life without you in it.'' he whimpered. Shawn hugged him back, breathing in the older boy's calming scent.

''Don't worry about it hyung. I'm here now. And I'll never ever leave you again.'' he said soothingly. Jihyuk smiled. ''I know.'' he said. ''And I'm so happy about it.''
