I actually am going to update today again? Gasp! This is another filler chapter on Kayden, just to say! Lets start now, shall we? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The alarm clock on Kayden's bedside table started blaring. Kayden shifted in his sleep and groaned. The night before he had sat his alarm to six instead of seven in the morning so he could get up and go to see Shawn before the school starts. That was the plan he and Zack came up with yesterday. But in his sleepy mindset, he just pressed snooze and turned back around, snuggling under his blanket.
Kayden's eyes slowly blinked open and he groaned while stretching. He sat up in his bed and looked through the window. Kayden frowned. There is no way the Sun was that high in six a.m. even in the Summer. He turned around to face his alarm clock and his eyes widened.
It was 10 in the morning. He jumped up from his bed and dressed up in an instant. He cursed while running down the stairs. There was obviously no time to go and see Shawn now, plus he was late for school.
He passed his confused looking mother and jumped straight to his car. He drove like a maniac to school that started almost three hours ago.
When he entered the building while panting, he instantly spotted Zack through all the students in the hallway. He walked to him and sighed. ''I guess our plan went wrong.''
Zack groaned and turned to him. ''Yep. I actually was going to wait for him to come down, but it was seven already and mom was glaring at me very intently.''
Kayden nodded. ''Well, we can always go after school.'' he said and then looked around the hallway. The student that were in it were just slouching around or talking quietly to their friends. Shortly, it was nothing like usual. The usual was loud, full, laughing and bickering.
''What happened here?'' Kayden asked, confused.
''Your dad.'' Zack answered. ''He told everything to all the adults and now everyone is grounded for life. They can't go anywhere anymore. Home to school and school to home. And what's even worse, he forbid everyone to shift for six months.''
Kayden's eyes widened. No shifting? Man, every wolf must be blocking now. ''That's pretty harsh.'' he whispered.
''Yea, but it's not like we don't deserve it.'' Zack closed his eyes. Kayden choked a little. ''Wait, we can't shift too?!'' he spluttered. Zack hummed sadly. ''Well, not everyone was punished.''
Kayden's eyebrows raised. ''Who wasn't?'' he asked. In that moment loud giggles could be heard down the hall and every wolf's head whipped in the way of the sound. There, at the school's entrance, stood Liliana and Ashley. They were walking together and giggling about a science joke Liliana was reading on her phone. The two girls walked down the hall in such a good mood, every person instantly knew that they weren't punished at all. They soon disappeared and everything was quiet again.
''That's your answer.'' Zack said and opened his locker. Kayden sighed again. Of course Liliana and Ashley weren't punished. Why would they be? They did nothing but help Shawn since they were young. Kayden took the books out of his locker.
The periods went through ridiculously slowly and the two boys barely managed. When the final bell finally rang, they shot out of their seats and ran down the hall. They could hear the birds chirp and their schoolmates talk but they could care less.
