It was early morning and you were sitting on the floor of the painted living room, George's head on your lap. You stroked his hair and watched his peaceful face.
"Oh George." You sighed with a smile.
George opened one eye, "Morning baby." He said.
You kissed his forehead and he sat up as you stood. "I'll go make breakfast." You told him.
In the kitchen there weren't many things since you had just moved in yesterday. You stretched, popping your back. Your neck was stiff from sleeping on the floor but you didn't regret a thing.
You hummed quietly to yourself while you cut some oranges in half.
George came in and hugged you from behind, resting his chin on your head. "Whatcha makin' Sugar?"
"Orange juice." You said.
George nodded and pulled out fetched his wand. Then he got two of the extra paintbrushes and set them on the island in the kitchen, transfiguring them into cups.
"Wow George, I didn't know you were good at Transfiguration." You chuckled.
George smirked, "We got good at it when you were still at Hogwarts."
You smiled, "That was the year with Umbridge. Did you know Fred invited me to come with you?"
George raised an eyebrow, "Really?"
You nodded, "Yeah, but I didn't think you'd like it, plus I was planning on going into m/s (magical study)"
"I wouldn't have minded." George said and you looked into his eyes, that was when you realized, you really were falling for him. You never thought you'd get these feelings again after Fred.
Interrupting your train of thoughts was a knock on the door. "I'll get it." George volunteered.
You hummed to yourself as you squeezed the orange. You dropped one, "Oops." You said and with the quick silence you heard a female voice from the door.
You peeked your head out curiously but George was blocking the figure from view so you walked over to stand beside him and came face to face with Frida Fairhawk.
Frida was a Ravenclaw girl who was obsessed with Fred and George since your 3rd year. Of course then she'd been a 2nd year.
"Oh Y/n." She said trying to keep the distaste from her voice but failing.
"Hi Frida, what brings you here?" You asked trying not to glare her away.
"Well I was in the neighborhood and I heard George was staying up here, I didn't know you'd be with him. Aren't you Fred's girl?" She asked sharply.
Frida had stayed out of the battle because she "didn't like getting in fights".
"I-" you started.
Before you could finish your statement Frida had moved last George and you into the house and was now scrutinizing the walls you had painted yesterday.
"This place is...well, it needs work obviously, then again it always has." She said with a laugh.
You crossed your arms, "What do you want Frida?"
"Oh I just wanted to check up on George, y'know, for old times sake. Grab a drink or two at the Hogshead. But since you're here, I mean the more the merrier right?" She asked with an almost murderous grin.
"Uh, I think I'll pass."
"Oh, well then I'd better pass too..." George said and Frida began to frown keeping her gaze on you.
You'd always been a little scared of Frida since the time she'd turned Fred against you, George hadn't known about that time though. Frida had even dated Fred for a short time in your 5th year.
You swallowed, "Er, no it's fine George, I mean for old times sake. I have plenty to do here anyways, go have some fun with...Frida." you said with a breath.
Frida smiled again, "Well if you say so Y/n." George said.
Frida grabbed his arm and practically pulled him out the door before he could even say bye.
You sighed, what were you doing?
