WARNING - DEPRESSION/SELF HARM

It was dark and cold as Y/n walked through the shadowed forest, the breeze light and gentle, quiet and calm.

Her knee length dress, black as the night sky without shining stars. Her eyes, no longer shining bright as before.

Each breath she took, shook as she tried to remain calm. There were no voices, just the constant ache, not feeling appreciated.

She was not perfect. She dwelled on that fact too harshly, she could not see what she meant to him. Losing her to Darkness, his fingertips grasping at the edges of her mind, hope lost so long ago.

Every thought laced with negativity, her thoughts... Wishing she was in a better place, waiting for someone to save her from her pain. Lost and beaten down, hope disintegrating.

And he watched, as she kept trying to make herself happy, he tried so hard to make her see how much she meant to him. They were both afraid of losing each other. She didn't know how much she craved him... Needed him. Her pain seemed to disappear when he came round. His smile, his laugh... Warmed her heart.

He had to leave on a mission, she was alone... She was lost... She couldn't think, she couldn't help but worry for him. That's when she realized she was in love with him. She couldn't handle it, she thought it was wrong, he's probably with someone else, but she was so wrong.

All he dreamed of was her, kissing her, touching her... Making her his to keep. Protecting her from the darkness so that she wouldn't feel alone.

From where they were standing, they saw the moon. That could see them both. He had been gone for three months... She was sad, worried... Broken. Tormented by thoughts that kept her awake, she had trouble sleeping. Constant nightmares of seeing him laying in a coffin. Fakely alive in that coffin he'd lay, the makeup making him look so alive but asleep. It was a blasted trick, she cried every time for a love that she could never have.

His mission he left... To find her and tell her how he felt. He couldn't sleep, he could barely eat or breathe without her by his side, his constant worry of her harm too deep... Losing too much blood, dying when he was gone away. He couldn't bear with the thought of losing his only reason for living. Everything he did was for her, she was perfect in his eyes. That's why he ran searching. He found her note, near the cliff that he'd taken her to many times as they watched the sunset.

That's where he found her, calling her name. She turned and he saw her tear stained cheeks, her arms bloody. But not losing too much blood.

He gestured to her to walk to him, she hesitated but thought better off it. He hugged her close, telling her how much she meant to him, she cried once more.  Tears of joy, knowing that the one she loved loved her back.

They would alway be by each others side no matter what Umbrella decided to throw at the world, they would make it out alive.
