28. Who I am

Leon's POV

I saw her figure in the distance, her flowing hair that I remember was so soft. Often she would smell like vanilla or strawberry... I gave her that shampoo. But I lost her... She wouldn't remember who I was... I could see her on that park bench. Sitting alone, waiting for someone... 

And I'd give up forever to touch you

And I don't wanna go home right now. 

I saw her look down at her feet. I could tell that she was hurt... Whoever she was waiting for had stood her up... I wanted to run to her... Comfort her... Just be near her... Even if she couldn't remember what we were... If she couldn't remember how I showed her that I loved her... 

If anything all this was my fault. She looked at her phone, gripping it tightly in hatred. My heart keeps breaking... I thought it was already broken... But the feel of the pain won't ever stop. I wish I was the one who she knew... The one to be around her... Keep her safe... But that's the cost. I could have let her die, where she would remember me... In her last moments. But I chose to keep her alive even if she couldn't remember me... 

And all I can taste is this moment

I lean against the tree as she walks my way. I act casual looking at my feet. As she walks by I can feel her sadness and the pain she feels. It almost breaks me... But I can't go after her... If Umbrella finds out... They will seek her out and kill her. I turn to glance. Her hair swaying in the wind. 

The love of my life... Doesn't know who I am... A guy runs past me following her swiftly. The guy she was with before me. 

The smell of sex and drugs on him is revolting. I know she didn't trust him enough... She told me herself... I never knew it was this bad. He's constantly cheating on her but she won't leave him. 

"Y/n... Please-" 

"Please what?" The anger in her voice is her almost in tears. 

"Please don't leave..." I can see in her face she wants to... But part of her doesn't want to go back... She wants love that she can trust... 

I gave her that... 

And I don't want the world to see me

'cause I don't think they'd understand

When everything is meant to be broken

I just want you to know who I am...

I just wish she could remember... Even if the price was my life... She doesn't deserve this... 

I wish I was the one to save her... But I can't because she'll die. I wanna run to her... kiss her... Show her what love really feels like. Just like before... 

"Why do you want me to stay?" He hesitates... and she walks away. Farther away without any intention of coming back... I follow to where she wants to go... To find herself a top the building.

"I wish... I could remember... What happened... I know I love someone else... But they never came back... Maybe... Maybe I wasn't worth fighting for... Maybe I should have just died... This pain is too much... I wanna know... Who you are... This picture... of us... We seemed so happy..." I could see the photo from here. It was a Christmas party for the agency.... That's when we had our first kiss. She holds it to her heart. Taking a step, I race to her. Grabbing her hand before she falls. 

"I'm here now Y/n." she looks up but her hand slips. I jump to get her. I hold her in my hands so I take the fall. I land on a car, the pain was excruciating. I coudn't breathe. 

"Leon... Please no no... Don't leave me again..." I smirk... Pain flowing throughout my body... 

"I never left... I kept an eye on you... I just wanted you know who I am..."
