34. Don't...Stop.

I could feel his gaze across the room. The lights dancing around the room while music filled our ears. Another mission, but I hated it already. Leon, the one watching me from the other side of the room. Not gonna lie, I might as well make this interesting. I see the guy we need to interview, let's just hope all of my years before with my... background... help me tonight. I pretend to stumble over to him, still feeling Leon's gaze on me. 

"H-hey cutie." I slur, he turns and smiles a nasty- and very ugly smile. It was nothing like the way Leon smiled- What are you doing stop comparing them. You don't even like Leon. 

"You need someone to dance with m'lady?" I would prefer sweetheart-that's enough. I could compromise the mission. 

"Yes please, my friend walked off with my boyfriend, they're probably doing it as we speak." I mumble, coming out sadder than I thought... It wasn't a lie... It happened to me once. 

"Awe kitten, come with me." He pulls me to an area- Oh shit... What have I done...? 

"Oh wait I see him, I just wanna go talk to him-" 

"No." Shit I'm screwed. I'm dead. 

"Why? I just wanna know why he did it." 

The man turns to me. 

"Because your not enough and never will be. Your just a little spy who used to be an 'entertainer' I've seen you around for the outbreak, I've seen you with Leon S Kennedy. Your not going anyway sweety." 

"I prefer sweetheart. Not sweety." he laughs. 

"You have a pathetic crush on him don't you? Well let's change that." 

The bouncer guys walk over, towering over me when Ruden came close to me. Too close for comfort. A hand slipped to my ass as I tried moving away, he had a hand on my throat. 

" Your going to be my personal dancer." He murmurs in my ear. " You have nothing else now except that we are leaving." 

"No. LEON!" Ruden grabs me holding me down while Leon shoots at the bouncers- the tranquilizer bullets take them out right away. Ruden lifts me up, but I feel the barrel of a pistol against my head. I hear the shots go off, and there he is. Gun aimed at Ruden, but I am put in front... A human shield. 

"Let her go and we will leave Ruden." A shot goes off, I don't realize it at first... but then I feel it, another shot goes off, I feel myself falling, everything became blurry and so fast. Arms wrap around me, holding me close. I see Ruden's body... lifeless. 

"Y/n... please please be okay..." 

"Leon... Don't worry about me..." 

"You know I can't not worry about you no matter how hard I try." he admits. I feel my mouth fall open, he gives a small chuckle. Everyone fled by now.. I feel my mind start to slip... I thought this was the end... I needed to tell him...

"Leon....I... I-uh..." I wince at the pain. 

"Y/n what is it?" 

"L-Leon... I... l-love you...." as I fall... I hear nothing as I slip into darkness...
