After my conversation with Liam I walked home, knowing who I could and couldn't trust. Liam and I both agreed to not tell the police about this yet, it was too risky. And besides, we needed to figure this out ourselves first. Then we would go to them.
When I got home, I decided to text Kristen, but not let her know anything about what I knew. Maybe I could get a bit more information.
A: hey :)
K: hey! I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!
A: I just saw you today!
K: haha I know I was just kidding
A: haha so whatcha doing?
K: stupid hw I suck at math seriously
A: ikr same
K: what are you doin?
A: nothing much just talked to Liam
K: really? Why?
A: just about school and Caroline..we both really miss her. it's good to catch up ya know
K: yeah I wish I knew her
A: Caroline?
K: yeah
A: why?
K: idk she seemed really nice
A: haha how do you know?
K: ya know by like what people say
A: oh yeah true
K: yeah well I gotta get back to math cya tomorrow
A: bye have fun ;)
K: yeah right
She didn't say much but I knew I needed to investigate this more, I just didn't know how. This is gonna be tough, no matter how I do it though.
