I managed to get through the night without waking anyone. Finally Friday. I wondered if we were ever going back to school. My mom probably wasn't very happy with me.
I left my room at around 9:45 to make breakfast. I scrambled some eggs for Liam and I, but Liam was still asleep. I began eating my eggs when I felt someone come up behind me. Liam engulfed me in a one-armed hug and took a seat next to me. He thanked me for breakfast and said we were doing something special later tonight.
At the end of breakfast, I got ready for the day. Liam called for me, so I helped him get ready as well. We had the same routine basically everyday. I'd help him with his pants and shirt. But some days he'd want to show me how capable he was, and put on certain things by himself. He'd smile proudly every time.

I knew we needed a few things from the grocery store, so I stopped. Liam insisted on joining me and I agreed. No one really stared at him and his arm in the supermarket, but whenever someone did, I stared back at them. They had absolutely no idea how it had happened and didn't need to be looking so intently at it. Whenever I looked at someone who was looking at him, Liam would squeeze my hand tighter, as if telling me "it's okay".We picked up some dinner (for everyone), milk, chips, flour, and a bunch more. We must've spent a while at the grocery store because by the time we got home and unpacked all the groceries, it was 1:00 in the afternoon.
"Hey, what should we do?" I asked Liam.
"Not sure, but we're leaving at 7:00." He answered.
"Where are we going?"
"I guess you'll find out at 7, huh?" He smirked. I shrugged, acting like I wasn't interested. I was totally interested.

When my mom got home at 4:30, we made spaghetti for dinner. My dad was working late again."So kids, what movie should we watch tonight?" My mom asked Liam and I. I turned to face Liam, ready to hear his excuse. I laughed quietly to myself.
"Um, ma'am I was actually hoping to take Amanda out somewhere tonight. If that's okay with you." He responded. I smiled at how nervous he was around my mother. I mouthed to him a "good job" to boost his confidence in the matter.
"Well where are you planning to take her?" My mom continued. Liam whispered something into her ear. I rolled my eyes playfully. My mom smiled and nodded. "You two can go." I grinned.
-----
"So what am I supposed to wear to this mystery place?" I asked Liam as we walked back to our rooms at 5:00, to get ready."Nothing casual." He started. "But not too fancy, either."
"Wow, that helps me," I smiled. He said he'd pick something out for me so I followed him to my room. He rummaged through my closet and picked out a flowy, knee-length, light pink skirt and a black short sleeve crop top.
I agreed and was about to leave when he said, "Wait, don't change yet. Help me change first, then you go change." He asked. I nodded and we went to his room. He had a blue, striped button-down and khaki pants laid out on his bed. I helped him change, same as always.
When we were done, I said, "You look great." He thanked me and grinned and I left the room to go get ready.
I changed into the outfit Liam picked and loosely curled my hair. I added some neutral lipstick and walked out of the bathroom just as Liam was walking into the living room. My mom was nowhere in sight, so I figured she was in her bedroom.
Liam turned around and saw me. He was about to say something when I interrupted him. "What shoes should I wear?" I questioned, smiling. He looked through a bucket of shoes and picked out my black heels with a strap. I slid them on, stood up, and said, "Okay, now you can say something."
