Liam drove us back to my house to get his nails done.
"Are you really doing this to me?" He groaned and looked sideways.
I grabbed his shoulder like I was encouraging him. "It'll be fun!" I exclaimed. "Why aren't you as excited as me?!" Is said in the fakest voice I could. Liam fake frowned as we pulled up in the driveway. We hopped out of the car, and I unlocked the door. My parents worked late, so they were never home. Even though it was only 8:00.
"Mandy's got a nice place..." Liam said, looking around.
"Okay, well onto nails." I handed him a bandana. "Put this on over your eyes."
Liam scrunched his eyebrows together. He grabbed the bandana. "Why?" He questioned.
"So you can't see what I'm doing!" I answered. His mouth made an 'o' shape. I helped him tie the bandana around his head.
"Can you see anything?" I asked, fixing the blindfold. He tried to take a step and stumbled, so I knew the answer was no. I guided him to the couch and put his hands on the coffee table. I began to paint his thumb, when he took it back.
"That's cold!" He shouted. I started laughing uncontrollably.
Between fits of laughter, I started to talk again. "Just put your hand on the table." I said. He nodded and did as I said. I put my hands over his so he didn't move them again. Every time I tried to paint a new nail, he try to pull back.
"Stop moving!" I said while laughing. He started laughing too. "Don't mess up your nails!" I added.
"It's hard!" He whined, "your hands are cold!"
I put my hands on his face just to make him feel the "coldness". He jerked away and I started laughing again.
"What are you laughing about?!" Liam exclaimed. I couldn't stop laughing. He looked so stupid with half-painted pink nails. I stopped laughing and finished his nails.
"There yee go, Li!" I announced."Can I look?" Liam asked eagerly. I agreed and took off his blindfold for him so he didn't mess up his nails. He looked down at my masterpiece. His eyebrows turned inwards making him look worried.
"Whoa. Why do girls do this?" He stated."What? Don't you like them?" I asked grinning from ear to ear. He looked up at me and started smiling just as I did. Liam started to giggle, then it turned into a full blown laugh. Between laughs he nodded that he liked my work. We laughed and laughed for what seemed like forever.
I felt happy. For once...I felt happy.
