I find it funny
how easily I can go
on a mental tangent
how easily I can
think out loud to myself
and how easily I can
fade into the background
like ambient noise
I find it funny
that I prefer
the comfortable silence
to the awkward small
talk I force myself into
and the familiar isolation
that keeps me from
being outgoing
I find it funny
how better I am
at holding
conversations with
myself that never
run dry and how
much more entertaining
I can be
when I'm unscripted
