The Dying Poet: Clinging Onto Better Hope

There ain't no rest for
the saddened and
lonely poets of the world
whose words melt into
wounded sorrows
whose days turn into
dark and unforgettable nights
and whose screams will
never reach the ears
of loving strangers
as their lives turn black
and as their fears rip right
through the soul
that roams the Earth's atmosphere
trying to find its way back,
back to the fading light
