We were currently in the car, Paul wanted to take me somewhere special, his exuse being 'it's almost your birthday' which it wasn't. I kept sneaking glances at him, trying to read his expression, but I couldn't. He just focused on driving, his hand placed steadily on the wheel.

Paul made a sharp right, and slowed the car down, bringing it to a complete stop. He unbuckled his seatbelt, and eyed me.

"Don't look so freaked out, princess. It's just a cliff." He winked, before jumping out of truck.

I hated heights. I hated them a passion, and he took me to the one place I hated. I slowly got out and took my place next to him. Paul reached around, snaking his arm around my waist. He gently pulled me closer to him, and I furrowed my eyebrows, having no idea what he was going to do.

"I have to discuss something with you, Summer." This time, he turned towards me, his whole body facing me.

"What is it?" I asked, raising my eyebrow suspiciously, watching his movements. It wasn't like I was scared of him, but I also hate surprises.

He let out a nervous, quiet sigh, and began explaining, "There's something called an imprint. It's basically when a wolf finds his soulmate. It's practically love at first sight, but it's stronger. That person becomes the most important thing in his world, other than the pack, she would be anything she wanted him to be. Whether it's a friend or a lover, or even just a shoulder to cry on. It's like gravity doesn't hold him down anymore, she does." His voice was full of passion, and my eyes sparkled in delight.

Does that mean he has imprinted on someone? He's acting like he has, but who? I narrowed my eyes, a small bit of jealousy flooding my mind, and for some reason hope. I hoped it was me, I really did.

"Did you? I-..Imprint, I mean." I said, looking up at him. He gave me a charming smile, and grabbed my hands in his.

"Yea, I did. She's the most beautiful girl in the world, her hair is like a thousand suns. Her smile is heavenly, and every time she laughs, my heart melts." His voice cracked, and I swear I thought I saw a single tear roll down his face.

Thats when it clicked. Hair like a thousand suns, my hair was platinum blonde, there's hope...

"Her eyes captivate anyone who dare to steal a glance."

Maybe...

"The way she walks, the way she talks, the way she jokes. It's all perfect to me."

I'm waiting, Paul.

He kept staring into my eyes, and he slowly leaned down, "It's you, Summer."

A large smile instantly came to my face, replacing the frown that was previously there. I flung myself at him, wrapping him in a hug. His face lit up, a small blush forming on his cheeks, he quickly wrapped his arms around me; picking me up and twirling me around. I looked up at him, meeting his sweet gaze.

"Sorry if this is too early but, I love you." I said, reaching up to his face.

His eyes seemed to dilate, his heart starting to pound in his chest. "I love you too." Pauls voice was soft, delicate, and almost like he was talking to a baby. Worried that if he talked any louder, I would break.

He brought his face closer to mine, so that are lips were an inch apart. I could feel his warmth breath on my face, which sent shivers up my spine, my eyes closed, waiting for what would happen next.

Paul crashed his lips into mine, staggering me. His body pressed up against mine, as our lips moved in sync. It was almost like our lips were made to fit together, like puzzle pieces. The kiss became more passionate, and I had to gasp for air, making Paul smirk into the kiss.

He pulled back, and had a smile stretching from ear to ear. He rested his forehead against mine, both of us out of breath.

"I didn't...know...you could kiss that well." My huffs interrupting.

He shook his head, "Ha...thanks...you too." His voice was kind of awkward and I giggled, wrapping my arms around his neck.

Paul resisted taking her then and now, he wanted to, he wanted to make her his. He exhaled deeply, "You wanna go swimming?"

I loved this boy, "Hell yes, I just have to get my swimsuit." He nodded at my response, and reluctantly pulled away from me. He took my hand in his, before walking up to the truck.

We quickly went back to the house, I tried to invite him inside but he just shook his head. Paul knew a bloodsucker would visit this house every once and a while, and he hated this house for it. I threw on a white bikini, with a few details on the side, under my clothes.

When I came out, Paul was fully expecting me to come out in the bikini, but when he saw me come out in a tshirt and shorts, he let out an annoyed groan. I laughed at this little action, he was so cute.

"Wow, someone was excited." I giggled, and he let out a playful growl.

"Yea yea, let's go." He said, pretending to be upset about it.

We arrived at the ocean twenty minutes later, and I hopped out, followed by Paul.

"Is that..." I mumbled softly and Paul nodded, an annoyed look on his face.

Standing in front of us, were all the boys, including Leah and Emily. They grinned, "Didn't expect you here, Paulie Wallie." Embry joked, earning a pissed off glare from Paul.

"Don't call me that." His voice echoed, and Embry shut up.

Emily quickly stood and made her way towards me, she gave me a hug and smiled, "Haven't seen you in a while, how'd it go with Paul?" She asked, leading me away from the guys.

"Good, apparently i'm his imprint. I love that boy..." I said dreamily as Emily laughed once more.

"Good luck with him, I have faith that you can change his temper." That caught my attention.

"What do you mean?" My eyebrows raised, and Emily stopped walking.

"Well, he can have a really bad temper. He once got mad at Quil for taking his garlic bread, he went full on werewolf." She said.

I nodded softly, "I'll try, thanks, Emily. For everything."

She gave me an encouraging smile, "Do you have a swimsuit?"

I nodded my head, "Well get changed then! Show Paul what he's missing." She winked at me, before jogging off towards Sam.

I couldn't help but laugh, she was such a sweetheart, just like Seth. I quickly removed my top and shorts, before walking out from behind the small push Emily had led me too.

My feet touched the warm sand and I walked up to Paul, tapping him on the shoulder. He turned to look at me, and he started to blush.

"Awww Paul is blushing."

"That's a rare sight."

Quil and Embry said quietly to each other, as Jared was about to make another sly comment, Paul turned towards them to shout but I touched his shoulder.

I smiled up at him, "I came for you, dork. I want all your attention."

He exhaled, leaning down to whisper in my ear.

"You are making this really hard for me."
