It has been three days since Summer went into labor, and what they thought, passed. Paul sat there for a whole night, trying to resuscitate her, but eventually they somehow managed to pry him away from the now, pale and lifeless body. Little did they know, Summer wasn't completely gone, considering it like she was sleeping, and all of her organs stopped working. She was fine, but of course, life needed to take it's course, so it will take a little bit for her to wake up from what has happened to her. Summer's body underwent trauma, having a child at such a young age took a toll on her body, and everything needed time to recover, and that was something, the Cullens and the wolves, didn't know.

Paul sat alone, holding the little newborn boy in his arms, "Theo.." He cooed softly, rocking the little bundle of joy in his arms, Summer never once leaving his mind. Theo hasn't been the brightest baby since Summer's supposed 'death', he just wanted to see his mother, but he couldn't. Paul continued to rock Theo as he stared down at him, his eyes never swaying. Theo of course looked like his mother, he had her small, button nose, and her beautiful milk chocolate eyes. Theo also had Paul's lips, and they worked perfectly together.

Paul heard someone coming up from behind him, looking over his shoulder to see Jacob approaching. Jake wasn't taking too kindly to this either, he went off on Carlisle about how this was all his fault, and he should of done something to prevent this, but it wasn't Carlisle's fault, and he knows that. Jake sat down next to Paul, and turned his attention down to the little Theo, who instantly grinned when he saw Jake sit down.

"Hey little man, how are ya?" He asked, like he was going to get a answer. Theo simply waved his arms in the air, earning a soft chuckle from both of the males. Paul reached up and let Theo grab onto his thumb, his tiny hands wrapping around it like it was his lifesaver.

"I know this isn't easy." Jake said quietly, narrowing his eyes and looking away from the baby and up at Paul, who now had a miserable look on his face. He stayed quiet for a few seconds, maneuvering little Theo in a more comfortable position, much to his delight.

He caught Jacob's intense, sad eyes and shook his head, "You have no idea." He said, almost in a whisper. This was the first time Jake has ever seen Paul like this, it freaked him out. Paul didn't look like a big bad wolf, no, he looked like a mouse. Jake eyed Paul, analyzing his body language; he had tried to make himself as small as possible, almost like he was trying to hide from whoever dare look at him.

Jake reached up, and clasped Paul on the shoulder, trying not to be too rough with him, "We are here for you, and little Theo." His eyes flickered down to him, before Jake stood up, and walked away from the depressed wolf. Paul slowly raised his head, and the only thing that ran through his mind, was his imprint, the love of his life, everything to him, Summer.

----

It has been a week since the 'death' of Summer, and tomorrow was the funeral, or so they thought. Paul was at the Cullen's, for the first time since Summer passed. He knew that she loved the Cullen's, and they were technically family now, and Alice had offered to take Theo for the day, which he was very reluctant, but he felt a little better knowing Jacob, and Bella were going to be there. Paul had gotten a little closer to his imprints sister, and they had formed an odd bond because of it. Earlier that week, they talked about how beautiful she was, and how she brightened up any room she went into.

Paul stepped up the steps to the Cullen's household, knowing he didn't have to knock. He stood there for only a millisecond before Alice came speeding down, a large, toothy grin enveloping her pale face. Paul tried his best to look happy, even though no one expects him to. The wolves think they know how it feels, since imprints are what hold them to Earth, but they didn't. They didn't know what it is like to lose someone who they loved dearly, and to be left alone with their baby, who would grow up without a mother.

Alice invited Paul inside for a little bit, and as he sat down on the couch, he allowed Alice to gingerly pick up Theo from Paul's warm and protective arms. She sat down next to him, rocking Theo as he giggled when Alice tickled his stomach. Paul stared at them, Summer still filling his thoughts. He missed her. He missed seeing her face, he missed her voice, he missed everything. He hated himself for running off on her, that was the only time he could of seen her alive; but she's gone, and now he has to deal with the grief.

Alice seemed to notice, and her smile slowly faded, "Paul, I'm sorry. I really am. We tried, but..." She trailed off, and decided to move on to something else, "She's in the dining room, if you want to say your goodbyes before the funeral." Alice gestured over to the doors to their left. Paul looked at her, then at the doors, and he gave her an intense look, before standing up slowly, and heading over to the dining room.

He opened the doors, and looked, his chocolate eyes stopping on a white table, where Summer's pale body lay, emotionless. Paul let out a small noise, almost like a mouse, he rushed over to her. His body seemed to give up completely, and he collapsed to his knees, he couldn't control his emotions anymore. He let his tears fall, "Baby, I'm so sorry. I am so sorry." He choked, looking up at her still face, he hoped she would just open her eyes.

He wished.

And it came true.
