We're here in an apartment owned by Hannah in San Francisco. Dito sya nagstay noong pinagtabuyan siya nila tito and tita noong sem break.
"Kiss. Are you going to be fine here? I just have to meet with a friend today but I promise you, I'll be with you tomorrow. There's food inside the fridge. Cook or heat them up. Feel at home" Hannah
"Go do your own thing! I'll be fine."
Maghapon lang ako nanood ng movies sa Netflix. I got so bored so I decided to go outside for a little stroll. I just left a note kay Hannah na I'll be back by dinner time.
I went to this mall na malapit lang sa apartment ni Hannah. Since nandito na din ako, I decided to treat myself and went shopping.
I was drinking an iced coffee, looking around for this certain shop na paborito ng daddy when someone bumped into me. Natapon yung coffee sa damit na suot ko. Kumuha ako agad ng tissue sa bag ko.
"I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking..." pinupunasan nya na din yung damit ko.
Pamilyar yung boses nung nagsalita. Nang maiangat ko ang ulo ko at nang makita ko kung sino nakabangga sakin...bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko, nangatog yung mga tuhod ko...halos mapaupo ako sa nakikita ko ngayon. Sa taong nasa harap ko...
"Do-donny" I whispered to myself. Hindi nya to narinig
"What did you say?"
Kumirot yung puso ko at nagsimula nanaman yung hirap ko sa paghinga. Tumingin ako sa mga mata nya. Why does it feels like he doesn't know me? He's worried but his eyes were blank. Bigla din nandilim yung paningin ko.
The next thing I knew, I'm already in the hospital.
"Miss? You're awake! Wait I'll call the doctor"
"Donny" hinawakan ko ang kamay nya at pinigilan sya sa pagalis.
"Wait. How do you know my name?" Nakita ko ang pagtataka sa mukha nya. Namumuo na yung luha sa mga mata ko.
"Donny. It's me Kisses. What happened to you?" Hindi ko na napigilan ang pagiyak when I said that. I held his hands even tighter.
"I'm sorry. I accidentally bumped into you earlier and you poured coffee all over your dress but then you had difficulty breathing and passed out after that. That's why I brought you here."
"Donny...that's not what I meant." I was already crying really really hard.
"I don't...I don't understand..." mukhang nagaalala na sya sa tono nya.
"KISSES! ARE YOU OKAY?" Biglang kaming napalingon sa dumating.
"Ku-kuya?" Nagulat si Hannah nang makita nya kung sino yung nasa tabi ko. She immediately went up to her kuya and hugged him really tight. Donny looked so confused.
"Wait you're the guy who called me?" Kumalas si Hannah sa pagyakap at nakita nya din kung gano ka confused yung Kuya nya.
"Yes. You're the emergency contact that she has on her phone but wait you called me kuya? Wait...wwait...don't tell me...wait..." Napahawak si Donny sakanyang ulo "Hannah?" Nanlaki ang mata nya. Matagal nyang tiningan si Hannah at bumalik yung tingin saakin.
"Kuya..." Hannah was already on the verge of breaking down. She hugged him even tighter.
"I'm sorry I got into a really really bad accident months ago. I got amnesia, I lost my memories but I know I still got one more sister who is residing in the Philippines. I didn't know you're here"
"Oh my gosh...kuya...noo..noooo." Hannah was still crying really really hard, hugging her brother.
"Shhh Hannah. I'm so sorry, I'm sorry that I didn't recognize you. I didn't know you're here. When did you arrive? I'm sure mom and dad would be so happy to see you." Donny was already hugging her back.
"No. Please don't tell them yet that I'm here." Pinunasan nya ang mga luha nya at napatingin sakin.
"Oh my gosh...sorry Kiss...are you okay? What happened to you?" Umupo sya sa tabi ko at hinawakan ang kamay ko.
"She passed out while having difficulty in breathing." Donny
Bumalik yung tingin nya sa kuya nya nang magsalita ito at tumingin ulit saakin.
"Is she your friend?" Donny asked
Hannah can't believe what she just heard. It's all over her face.
"Kuya, she's your..."
"Yes, I'm her friend" Pinutol ko yung sasabihin ni Hannah, pinanlakihan ito ng mata at hinawakan ng mas mahigpit ang kanyang mga kamay.
"Well, it's really such a small world after all. Why won't you let me tell mom and dad that you're here, noots?" Umupo si Donny sa sofa sa harap namin. Hannah is still sitting beside me.
"Noots?" Nagulat si Hannah sa tinawag ng kuya nya sakanya
"Yes, noots. That's what I call you right? I only lost a part of my memory but the memory when we were still young, it's still here. Sorry I didn't recognize you at first. Yung last image ko pa of Hannah ay yung gusgusing bata. Hahaha." Donny laughed but when he saw Hannah wasn't buying it, he immediately stopped. "So..um...why won't you let me?" He asked
"It's just that...umm..." Tumingin si Hannah sakin. "I want to..."
"Surprise them. She wants to surprise them." Pagpapatuloy ko.
"Yes. On Christmas Eve sana uuwi ako sa bahay to surprise them."
"That sounds like a plan." Tumayo si Donny sa pagkakaupo at akmang aalis na.
"Well, call me if you need anything. Here's my number Noots. I really need to go and oh by the way...Kisses right? I bought you a new dress so you can change. I'll see you both soon."
He kissed Hannah's forehead and said sorry again. He also patted my head then bid goodbye.
Hannah immediately hugged me as soon as he left.
"Are you okay?" By the sound of it, she's going to cry again.
"I don't know...I don't know what to feel Hannah..." I started to cry again
"I'm here for you. Everything will be fine. We're going to fix it okay?"
I just nodded while she tries to wipe away my tears.
How can my life be this miserable?
The only reason why I'm here in the first place can't even remember me? The one and only guy that I love...can't remember me...
