Chapter 16

"Why's that so big?"

"Well it needs to fit both of us" I told Billie.

"Hell no there's no way in hell I'm getting on that" she shook her head forcefully.

"You are"

"Im not"

"I don't care if I have to drag you, please for me Bil?" I begged, wrapping my arms around her waist.

She tried pulling away, but I tightened my grip not daring to let go until she agreed. Currently we were about to leave for the beach, and I was doing my best to convince Billie to come on my surfboard with me. But apparently someone is a bit scared.

"I thought you're scared of nothing?" I teased poking her cheek.

"I am, but the ocean is one scary motherfucker! I'm telling you if I can't see my feet in the water then you can kiss my ass goodbye, thank you" she swatted my hand away.

I laughed and kissed her cheek.

"Just wait till you see the water William, then you will change your mind" I told her while laughing at he.

"Yeah ok, and while I'm there I will say hi to the sharks and see if they're fans too!" she exclaimed sarcastically.

I shook my head and laughed even harder at her comment. I grabbed the board and gave it to Pen who placed it on the grass next to hers and Lucy's.

"The straps are still on from this morning so if you guys want to get some food from the pantry, towels and whatever else you need do it now and I will put the boards up" I told the girls and climbed onto the roof.

"Zoe can you please grab me a couple of bags of Takis?" Billie battered her eyes at Zoe who rolled hers.

"Of course Bil" she said walking back into the house with Lucy and Pen.

I looked over the side of the roof and down at Bil.

"Need some help love?" she looked up at me and winked.

"Sure do, can you please pass me my board first" and soon enough we had packed the car and were on our way to the Airbnb.

I pulled up to the Airbnb and we all got out. It was a modern, white beach house, with a wooden patio that looked out onto the beach and a pool with a glass fence.

"Woah, the view is amazing" Billie said grabbing my hand.

"Yeah the beach looks good from here, I'm keen for a surf" I squeezed her hand.

"Let's go, I haven't seen my family all day" Billie said and dragged me towards the door with her.

"HONEY IM HOME" she screamed into the house as we all walked in.

"Jesus Christ Billie, give a girl a warning next time" Lucy said with her hands covering her ears.

Maggie walked into the living and gave her daughter a hug, then proceeded to give all of hugs too.

"Fin and Claudia have actually decided to go and explore a running trail by the beach, so you guys don't need to wait for them, they said they'll come with you next time" she told us with a gentle smile.

"What the fuck why didn't Fin text me, we came here for nothing" Billie whined to her mum.

Maggie sighed at her daughter's choice of words but let it go not seeing the point as she wouldn't start listening.
