After dodging the after meal fiasco with my family, I decided to rock up to Latisha's party to see what's going down. This turned out to be a mistake, as somehow Trixie thought she was invited to a senior party (no doubt using my name) and now won't leave me alone. I feel bad for her because I know her parents don't give a crap about her, but still her infatuation with me has to stop. It is highly annoying and puts off any other girls that might be interested, even though I'm not concerned with anyone right now. She has become ten times as worse since she heard about my breakup with Raven, thinking that now she finally has a chance – well, she doesn't. The girl is like a damn lovesick puppy, constantly flirting and falling all over me, and being only sixteen years old it is not appropriate. She definitely should not be drinking or wearing such revealing clothes to capture my attention, all it does is make her look desperate.
"Come on Cohen, dance with me!" She slurs over the pounding base, and I feel slightly nauseous because of the sickening smell of sweaty bodies surrounding me like a cage on the make shift dance floor.
Most people are absolutely smashed, their inhibitions gone as they party it up on the dance floor in a wild fashion, continuing to drink themselves to destruction. Usually I would be joining them, but tonight I'm not feeling it. It looks like I'm going to have to babysit Trixie again before taking her home so my sister can deal with her. God forbid if Susanne ever showed up at one of these parties.
"Come on Trixie, let's get you some water." I sigh, taking a firm hold of her wrist and pulling her through the sweaty bodies towards the kitchen.
"Carry me!" She squeals, going limp.
God, she's even more annoying then Gwendolyn and the hum in my heart I get when I'm around her.
Sighing I haul her up into my arms, expertly avoiding her sloppy attempts at kissing me, before entering into the kitchen and dumping her on the marble island. There is a group of people standing around drinking and leering, and there is a funny golden coloured liquid all over the white floor tiles. I hope to god that it's just beer. Pouring Trixie a drink of water, I then have to deal with her childish refusal to open her mouth so I can force the damn liquid down her throat. God, there are so many other things I could be doing right now! I bet Josh is with his new lady friend Torryn (a strange combination if you ask me) and Leo is off flirting with some pretty girl.
"Trixie? What are you doing here?" A disappointed feminine voice asks.
Looking up I see Trixie's straight older sister Mercey, who thankfully does not look too drunk.
"Oh Mercey, I'm glad you're here. I found her like this." I address her, pointing at Trixie who is now singing to herself.
"Thanks for keeping her out of trouble Cohen. I'll take her back to my place." Mercey sighs.
"Thanks so much." I reply with a grin, before dashing off ignoring Trixie's calls before her sister can change her mind.
Great, hopefully I can relax and have some fun now! Deciding to look for Josh, or some of my other mates, I back into the main crowd area when I hear two guys gawping over some hot new girl. As the words register, I freeze, instantly on high alert and wondering whether Gwen is here. She had better not be! Mum said Suzanne was staying at home to be with Gwen, as she wasn't feeling well. Surely, Gwen wouldn't have left Susanne at home alone? But what other new girl is there? Anxiously I push my way through the throngs of people, searching for her beautiful golden curly hair, but I am relieved when I cannot find her. She wouldn't be so stupid as to attend a high school party without me.
"Hey man!" Leo yells over the thudding music as he clamps a hand on my shoulder.
"Ah hey." I reply as I give him a bro hug.
"Wanna drink?" He asks me, offering me a can of beer.
"Ah great." I eagerly take it from him, going to take a sip before I notice something.
There is a stunning girl in a tiny skirt showing off her milky thighs, with the longest, straightest golden hair that radiates angelically in the light. The guy she is dancing with is certainly a lucky fellow, able to have his hands all over her sexy body. She is effortlessly gorgeous, and I cannot help but be captivated by her, until she turns around exposing her identity.
"Gwen?" I growl, not quite believing my eyes.
It doesn't look anything like her... but it is her, it has to be. There is no way I wouldn't be able to recognise those angelic features and mesmerising spring green eyes. This is Gwen all right, but not my Gwen. What has she done to herself? Doesn't she know she looks perfect the way she usually is with minimal makeup and her bouncy curls? And why on earth is she dancing so provocatively with some random dude who is drooling all over her? Blind fury rages through my veins, and as if I am on autopilot, I am suddenly barging my way through the crowds, intent on getting that slimy nobody away from my Gwen. As soon as I reach her, I shove the guy back, pulling Gwen safely into my arms. As she looks up to me she hiccups, and I realise she reeks of alcohol, making me even madder. Who the hell brought her here?
"Susanne?" I hear Leo bark to the left of me, and I am again floored when I see my baby sister dancing with two guys who look like they want to eat her up.
She shouldn't be here, and I become even more pissed with her presence.
Knowing I need to get the girls out of here for an interrogation I pick Gwen up into a bridal carry, causing her to giggle, before making my way through the crowds, relieved when I see Leo has caught my drift and he is dragging my little sister out with us. When Gwen realises I am planning to remove her from the party, she calls out in indignation, hitting me and yelling for me to put her down. Instead, I hold her tighter to my chest.
When we finally make it outside, I plop Gwen on the bonnet of Leo's car (who got here early so he got a space in the driveway) much to her annoyance.
"What the hell are you doing here Gwen?" I growl, leaning over her so she knows I mean business.
"I'm having a, a good time with my f-friends. Let me goooo you big oaf." She slurs, feebly hitting my chest.
"No way. Who was that guy you were dancing with? Why did you let him touch you?" I ask in a strained voice, my hands rolled into fists, dreaming of knocking that jerk out.
"Because I can." She glares moodily at me. "If you can dance with who you want then I can dance with who I want!" She yells.
"What are you talking about?" I ask confused, wondering what she is going on about.
"I saw you dancing with Trixie." She huffs with a cute pout, making me want to kiss her little scrunched up nose.
"Trixie? Gwen are you jealous?" I ask, a slow smile forming on my lips.
"N-no." She cries out in indignation.
"Really? I think you are. Were you dancing with that guy just to get back at me for being with Trixie? Because Gwen, if you were, then that was stupid. I can't even stand her!" I exclaim, turning to glare at my sister whilst Leo packs her into his car angrily. She knows she won't be allowed out until she is eighty for pulling a stunt like this.
"R-really?" Gwen smiles, leaning in close to me like a teasing minx, before proceeding to throw up all over my shoes.
"Great Gwen, just great." I sigh.
Did you like this chapter guys? I enjoy writing from Cohen's POV!
So, they were both jealous of each other... but we are not at the end just yet!
What do you think is going to happen next?
Love and bunny hugs xoxo
