I run back up to Lydia and see her close to unconsciousness. "Lyds, you need to stay awake, okay? Stay awake, Lyds."

"Tracy?" She asks softly.

I shake my head as Scott, Stiles, Theo, and Deaton enter. Scott rushes to help the sheriff and Stiles runs up to me. "Are you okay? Is Lydia?"

I nod, tucking my hair behind me ear. "I'm fine. Lydia will be too. We need to get to the basement. Malia's down there."

Scott hears my words and says, "Come on Stiles, Megara."

When we get to where Malia is, she looks up at Scott and says, "It wasn't me."

"What the hell happened to her?" Scott asks.

"There were these people...They had masks. Um, there...There were...Three of them. I think there were three. Meg?"

I nod. "Yeah, there were three. They had these freaky masks. Kind of like gas masks."

Stiles frowns. "What...What are you two talking about?"

Malia and I share a look as she continues, "They had a weapon. Stiles, we didn't do this."

He nods and says, "Okay."

I glance to Tracy. "She's not changing back."

"We need to get her out of here." Deaton states.

"What, hey...Absolutely not. This is a crime scene. We call the coroner." Sheriff Stilinski protests.

Deaton looks at the sheriff and says seriously, "I think the coroner might be very confused by this girl's severed reptilian tail."

"I don't care."

"You should. Unless you're prepared to hold a press conference announcing the presence of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills."

"Dad, he's right." Stiles says. "Maybe at the clinic we can figure out how to change her back, then call the coroner?"

Sheriff starts stammering. "There's a line...There is a line that we have to draw."

Stiles frowns. "Dad, you've already crossed it. More than once."

"Sheriff, please." Deaton speaks. "Let me help. I've dealt with things like this before."

The sheriff nods. "Just do it fast."

At the hospital, we're waiting for news on Lydia. Melissa walks out and makes her way over to me. "Megara."

I instantly look up. "How bad is it?"

"Could have been worse. You might have saved her life, sweetheart. Though, there is risk of infection. She's about to go into surgery. So it's going to be awhile. Any other supernatural details that I need to know about or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?"

"It was the tail." Kira informs.

Malia nods. "Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference."

"Okay." Melissa says, walking off.

Malia then turns to Scott and Stiles. "But it wasn't just Tracy. There were others. The guys in the masks."

She seems to be disbelieving of what she saw and I place a hand on her shoulder. "I saw them too, Mal."

The next morning in AP Bio, I stare at the seat next to me. Lydia's. Mrs. Finch starts class. "If 99.9% of our DNA sequence is the same as other humans, what could account for the missing 0.1% difference? Theo?"

I'm not a regular human. "Um, nucleotides." Theo answers.

"That's right." Mrs. Finch says.
