Season 4
I hold Stiles' hand, swinging our hands. I always like adding new places to my list of travels. Thank the gods we drove. I would have caused quite a storm if I'd had to fly. A literal storm.
Stiles looks around. "This doesn't seem so bad."
Lydia frowns. "It's not the town, it's the plan."
I raise an eyebrow. "What's wrong with the plan?"
Lydia sighs. "Stiles, Megara. This could be the stupidest plan we've ever come up with. You're aware of that, right?"
Stiles frowns and admits, "I'm aware it's not our best."
"We are going to die."
"Lyds? Are you saying that as a Banshee or is your pessimism showing?"
She rolls her eyes, turning to me. "I'm saying it as a person who doesn't wanna die."
"Well, neither of us wanna die, so, shush with the death talk."
Stiles glances to Lydia. "Okay. Would you just mind restricting any talk of death to actual Banshee death predictions?"
Lydia narrows her eyes. "This plan is stupid and we're going to die."
"Oh, thank you."
"Mmm." Lydia mumbles.
We walk into a bar once Stiles shows the necessary card with a skull. I'm not keen on skulls as they remind me of my uncle. Tridents are so much better.
As we approach the bar, a man serves each of us a drink. I pull out money, and the man shakes his head. "No. On the house. Most American teenagers don't cross the border to refuse a drink."
Lydia drops a bullet casing with the same skull etching into one of the shot glasses. "We didn't come to drink."
We're taken to a woman and she says, "Severo hates this music. Me? I've always loved the music of youth. This kind, especially. It has a savage energy."
Give me some good 'ol rock and roll any day; especially Green Day or The White Stripes. Lydia looks up at the woman. "We're here for Derek Hale."
"Is that so?" Araya says.
"We know you have him. We've heard you can be bought."
Stiles lays out a bundle of cash on the table. "It's $50,000 for Derek."
Araya looks at the money then at my boyfriend. "Now, where does a teenage boy get money like this? Japanese mafia?"
Guns cock and Araya gives us a disappointed look. "Not smart to come alone."
I smirk. "What makes you think we came alone?"
Araya narrows her eyes. "You brought a wolf into my home?"
"We brought an Alpha." Stiles corrects.
She sighs. "My friends...I don't think you're aware of your poor timing. Do you know what the dark moon is?"
"The part of the lunar phase when the moon is least visible in the sky." Lydia replies.
"But do you know its meaning?"
"Some people say it's a time of reflection. Or grief."
"Grief and loss, mija." Araya corrects. "I wonder why, when you and your friends have suffered so much loss, you would risk it again for someone like Derek Hale."
"Cause we hate losing." I state.
Over the radio, Severo asks, "North?"
Spanish comes through and Severo responds in Spanish. Moments later, we hear Scott. "Stiles. Take ten off the table."
