We head to the Animal Clinic to see if he has anything that might save Mason. Scott and Liam arrive with the Surgeon, and we tell Deaton what we've found out. He repeats, "Mason had a vanishing twin."

Stiles shrugs. "Now we've got a vanishing Mason."

I swat Stiles chest with a glare and pull my arm away before he can grab my hand. Liam frowns and asks, "What does that have to do with turning him into a 250 year old French guy? How does that even happen?"

Deaton looks up. "Hold on, Scott might have something. Mason's twin wasn't entirely gone. That's what made him a genetic chimera."

"The DNA was still there." Scott realizes.

Deaton nods. "Metaphorically speaking, the DNA of Mason could still be inside Sebastien as well."

"How?"

I turn to him. "Life is energy, Scott. Energy doesn't disappear. It transfers."

Deaton nods once again before continuing, "The Dread Doctors may have found a way to break the rules of the supernatural world, but there are some rules that simply won't break."

Liam is silent for a moment. "So Mason can't just be gone?"

"Somewhere in Sebastien he has to still exist in some form. A spark of energy, a flicker of memory."

Stiles turns to Liam. "Hang on...Liam, you said Mason said something right before he turned."

"He said, "That's not my name.""

Stiles turns to Scott. "He finally remembered his name."

"Damnatio Memoriae." I finish.

Liam looks between me and Stiles. "That's what they wanted. They wanted Sebastien to remember his name."

Stiles turns to his best friend. "Scott, you know the myth of what happens when you call a werewolf by its given name?"

"It turns back to human." Scott replies.

Liam frowns, looking to each of us impatiently. "What does that mean? Someone can just walk up to the Beast, yell Mason's name and turn him back?"

Scott shakes his head. "Not someone...Lydia."

I get word from Melissa that Lydia is in the hospital and after showing the message to Stiles, he drives us over. I rush to her room and see bandages wrapped around her neck. I sit down in the plastic hospital chair as I take her hand and look up at Melissa, who's just entered the room with a syringe. "What did this?"

"I don't know." Melissa admits before walking over to my best friend. "Lydia, this is gonna have to be just between us, since I can get fired for it."

Scott gives her a soft smile. "It's a cortisone shot. It's gonna being the inflammation down."

Lydia nods and lifts up her shirt to reveal her forearm. Melissa shakes her head. "Not there." She pulls the bandage from Lydia's neck slowly and positions the needle.

Stiles makes a move towards the door. "Oh, yeah, okay, I'm gonna need to leave."

"You're not going anywhere." Melissa says.

He purses his lips. "Okay. Here we go."

I take his hand as Melissa moves the needle closer to Lydia's neck. "Okay. Here we go." Melissa says softly.

We all hear a loud thud and see that Liam has fallen unconscious. Scott and I rush over to him.

I glance to Melissa to see her pressing down on the syringe. "Okay, Lydia, this is gonna hurt like a bitch."
