Scott looks at a text on his phone. "He's headed to the school."

Liam, who's sitting next to me in the back, pokes his head between the seats. "Why's Parrish headed to the school?"

I shake my head. "That's not Parrish, right now at least."

"Okay, why's a Hellhound going to the school?"

"Cause he's got a yearning for higher education." Stiles answers sarcastically. "Liam, a Hellhound's at the school, so we're going to the school. Okay?"

Sensing his frustration, I take Stiles' hand and he lifts it, pressing a kiss to the back of my hand. "I love you, Meg." He whispers.

"I love you too."

We arrive at the school parking lot and get out as quietly as we can. Liam is the last to get out and he slams the door behind him, causing us to wince and glare at him. "Sorry."

Mr. Argent appears with a gun in hand and Scott asks, "Where's Parrish?"

He shakes his head. "I lost him. He's moving too fast."

Liam walks over to someone lying on the ground. "Scott, that guy's not moving at all."

We walk over and kneel next to the guy. I see a bloody wound on his chest and check his pulse, but I can't find one. Liam points to another body. "Look..."

"Help me." A boy says, raising a bloody hand.

I jump up and follow Scott to the bus, but we're stopped by Parrish. "It's a trap. Please...You two can't help him."

I push past Parrish, determined to save this kid and suddenly, half a body is thrown from the bus. The Beast lets out a low guttural growl. Stiles winces when it appears. "That's big. No one said it was that big."

"I did." Liam says, glancing to us.

The Beast growls and runs off in the opposite direction. Parrish roars and bursts into flaming, chasing after the Beast. "What the hell's happening?" Scott asks.

"It's getting smarter." Mr. Argent answers.

In the library at school the next day, I'm sitting to the left of Stiles as Liam says, "Mason said it's not just to transmit frequency. It's high-powered. Like it was to be a really strong signal."

"And it's causing you to shift?" Lydia asks.

Scott shakes his head. "No. I don't think it's just that. Last night, Argent said that it's getting smarter. What if the Dread Doctors are trying to make the Beast grow faster?"

"With frequencies?" Stiles inquires.

"No, by shifting. The frequency is just the trigger. The important part is when it shifts into the werewolf."

"Like Peter." I say.

Stiles nods. "Right. Yeah when Peter was an alpha, he got stronger every full moon. Eventually, the burns healed and he was back to normal."

"So the Dread Doctors don't want to wait for the full moon." Liam states.

I nod. "They want the Beast to be as strong as possible, as fast as possible."

Liam glances to me. "Because of Parrish."

Lydia frowns. "So if this is happening tonight, what are we gonna do?"

"Uh, we've got one clue to go on." Stiles says, reaching into his backpack and pulling out a piece of paper. He places it on the table so we can all see. "This came from the hospital. Whoever's lurking inside the Beast is wearing size ten of indeterminate make."
