My eyes flutter open to see Stiles looking at me deeply in love; one that would make any girl, especially a daughter of Aphrodite, swoon.
"You're watching me sleep? That's creepy." I say before turning my back and closing my eyes again.
He flips me and presses a kiss to my forehead before pulling me out of bed. "Get dressed, sweetheart. Our friends are waiting downstairs."
I look at Stiles sweetly. "Do you have your Mets shirt?"
He chuckles and pulls it out. "How did I know?"
I press a kiss to his lips and Stiles lifts me up by my hips, sitting me on the desk, still kissing me.
I then hop off the desk and pull off my pajama shirt and put on the orange and blue striped shirt and change into leggings. When I turn around, I see Stiles with his back to me. "All set."
When he turns around, his cheeks are a bright pink color. "Give a guy some warning!"
"Sorry."
He then presses another kiss to my lips. "I love seeing you in that shirt and I love you."
"I love you too."
I take his hand and together, we walk down the stairs. We see our friends and Stiles immediately jumps in. "My dad's got an APB out..."
"For a 5'8 16 year old?" Kira interrupts.
Stiles gives her an awkward smile. "I recommended nine-foot tall rampaging werewolf."
I shoot Stiles a smirk. "I told him bad idea."
Liam gives me a small smile and says, "It still might not be him. But, Hayden's at the school looking."
"I can keep checking the woods." Malia offers.
Scott walks in and says, "My mom can check all the hospitals in the county. We can find him."
"What happens then?" Liam asks.
I smile. "We do what we best. We figure out a way to save him."
Lydia nods. "Okay. Where else could we look?"
"Let's ask Corey." Scott answers, clutching something in his hand.
Corey instantly becomes visible and attempts to defend himself. "Wait. Wait. It's not my fault. They took him and I couldn't do anything. They took him..."
Seeing his panic and fear, I ask gently, "Who?"
He meets my eyes and says, "The Dread Doctors."
I follow Stiles and Lydia to the station. I don't really want to be around Theo right now. We meet up with Stiles' dad and my boyfriend says, "Still nothing from Scott and Liam."
"Are we really sure this is a good idea?" Lydia inquires.
I shake my head. "It's probably a terrible idea, but it's the best we've got."
Sheriff glances to his son. "But you're trusting Theo anyway?"
Stiles shakes his head. "We're not trusting him. We're using him."
Lydia frowns. "What if he's using us?"
"Oh, he's definitely using us." I retort.
"Like she said, definitely." Stiles agrees. "But, look, we're just trying to cover every place Mason could show up. Malia and Braeden are at Scott's house. Melissa's got the hospital. Hayden and Corey are at the school."
Sheriff sighs. "Somebody's got to find him."
I bite my lip. "And hopefully they find Mason and not the Beast."
Stiles falls asleep on the couch in his dad's office and I sit in an empty spot on the sheriff's desk. I see Lydia coming back and I shake Stiles' shoulder a few times and he jumps up. "Hmm? What? What happened? Who's dead?"
"No one. At least, not yet." Lydia answers.
Stiles sits up and I sit next to him. I rest my back along the other end of the couch and rest my legs on his. He strokes my leg and noticing his expression, I ask, "You okay, Skywalker?"
He nods and continues running his hand up and down my leg. "Yeah, I'm still thinking. Still trying to figure out, why Mason? I mean, he wasn't even on the genetic chimera list."
I open my mouth to answer and turn to hear Melissa's voice. "He is now."
I grab one of the files and flip through it. "Why now?"
"Mason was born with twin embolization syndrome." Melissa explains.
Lydia nods. "You mean fetal resorption."
"He had a vanishing twin in utero, which accounts for two sets of DNA."
Stiles frowns. "Can someone please say it with words that have less than three syllables?"
"He ate his twin." Melissa answers bluntly.
"Oh, God." Stiles mumbles.
I glance to Melissa. "Did it help?"
Melissa shakes her head. "I don't know. But it's just bizarre enough to sound like it might be something important, right?"
I frown for a moment. "It has to help. There's got to be something."
We look at the ultrasound of unborn Mason eating his twin. Pleasant.
