Ch. 3 I can shift.

(Echo pov)
It has been four weeks since Prince Asher bought me and I've warmed up to him. As in I know he won't hurt me unless I disobey. But there is still that fear of getting hurt. Right now Prince Asher is having a meeting with his brothers. I'm under the bed. It is my safe haven. The one place I feel completely safe from harm. I'm curled in a ball. Then suddenly I feel the need to shift to my human form. So I get up and run to the bath room. I close the door as the boys jump up. Then I shift. I hear the bed room door open and close. Then some one came to the door and knocked. "Echo? Are you ok?" It's Prince Asher. "Yeah." I said. "Wait. Did you shift?" He asked. "Yeah." I said again. "Ok I'm coming in." He said. "Wait please don't come in." I beg. "Why not?" Prince Asher asks. "I'm not wearing any clothes." I said shyly. "Ok rap your self in a towel and then let me in." Prince Asher said. I had to obey him it's not like I couldn't. So I did as told. I got a towel and rapped it around me to hide my body. Then I let him in. He comes in and looks me up and down. I bite my lip and lower my head in respect. He sighs. Then Prince Asher went to the cabinet and dug around. "Are you going to inject me with more?" I ask. Talking about the stuff the keeps me from shifting to human. "No baby." Prince Asher said as he pulls out a needle. "This is just a sleep serum." He said as he came to me. He rapped his arm around me and I shake. "I need you to sleep just for a little bit." Prince Asher said. I nod and grip the towel. He injected the serum and I fall against him. Now I know why he rapped his arm around me. To make sure I fell against him. I eventually let the serum take over me and my eyes flutter shut in a deep sleep.

When I woke up I'm on Prince Asher's bed fully clothed and covered up. Then I hear voices. One sounds like Prince Asher and the other sounds like Felipe. "Oh she's waking up. Get out." Prince Asher said. Some one left and I open my eyes. Prince Asher looks at me and I freeze. I lower my head in submission and he sat next to me. He gently set his hand on my side. "Are you all right?" He asked. "Y-ye-yes Master." I said. He smiles a little. "Are you sure?" He asked. I nod. My voice is getting better but it still had a little ways to go. "Nothing is sore?" He asked. I shake my head no. "What did you do?" I ask. "I uh healed the wounds on your back, torso and legs. I gave you some medication to help your throat and vision. Then got you some clothes." Prince Asher said. "Um ok." I said. "But I had a maid change you so I didn't see any thing." He added. I nod, sightly relieved. He smiled. "Do you want to watch tv?" Prince Asher asks. I'm shocked by this. I don't think I've heard you want in 20 years and I'm 20. "Um." I said. Prince Asher chuckles. He got up and sat on the other side of the bed. I got got and started to walk away. "Where are you going?" Prince Asher asks. "I didn't think you would want some thing as filthy as me in your bed." I said. He chuckles. "Come here." He said. I got back on the bed and he pulled me to him. I freeze at this and he rubs my side. "Relax I won't hurt you." Prince Asher said. I nod and he makes me lean on him. I hold my arms to my stomach and then hold my knees close to me. Prince Asher rubs my arm and I close my eyes. "Master?" I ask. Prince Asher sighs and I flinch. "Enough of the Master business. I don't like it." Prince Asher said. "What should I call you Ma?" I start but bite my lip to stop from finishing the word. "Asher." Prince Asher replied. "Ok Prince Asher." I said. "No Prince either. Just Asher." Asher said. "Um ok. Asher?" I ask. "There we go. Yes?" He asks. I'm still looking down. "What do you plan on doing with me?" I ask. "Well I plan on making you my girl friend and eventually my bride. Then when I get the crown you will be queen." Asher said. "Q-qu-queen?" I ask. "Yes darling queen. But don't worry that won't be for a long time and I won't leave you in the dark. I will teach you what you need to know." Asher said. "Um ok." I said. "But why me?" I ask. "I used vampire magic to read your mind. So I hope you don't mind but I read your mind and learned what you are like. I learned your personality and all about you. You are the most amazing young lady I have ever met. I love you." Asher said. I get confused. "What's love?" I ask. He sighs. "We'll work on that later." Prince Asher said. "But I'm worthless." I said. "You are not. You in fact are probably the most valuable girl I've ever met." Asher said. "Ok." I said but I don't believe him. "So can I tell my parents and brothers that you shifted?" Asher asks. "Um if you want to." I said. "But can I stay in my wolf form when we are out of this room?" I ask. "If you want to sure. But in this room I want to see your beautiful human form." Asher said. I nod and he kissed my head. He makes me lean on him. "Now it's late let's get some sleep." Asher said. I close my eyes. "Good night little one." Asher said as I fell a sleep.
(Asher pov)
Echo fell a sleep beside me and as if on instinct she curled into a ball. She is leaning on me but in a ball. I rub her arm and she shivers. So I pull the blanket on her and I watch her for a few minutes. Then there's a knock at the door and I groan. "Come in." I said. Chase comes in. "Hey br!" He starts loudly. "Sh!" I cut him off and he gives me a weird look. I point to Echo and he looks at her. He came over. "So she finally shifted?" He asked. "Yes now keep it down. It took me a good while to get her to sleep." I growl. "Ok. Why is she on the bed?" Chase asked. "She sleeps with me so what?" I ask. "Ok. Why?" Chase asked. "I will tell you why when I tell the rest of our family tomorrow." I said. "Ok. Just came to see if you need any thing." Chase said. "No I'm fine." I said. He nodded and left. I chuckle and look back at Echo. I rap my other arm around her and turn her over so she's facing away from me and laying on the pillows. This will make it easier to cuddle with her and hold her like any boy friend should. I may be a prince but Echo is my equal and I will treat her as such. She is my queen and I her king. She may not know what love is but I love her to death and will treat her the way she should be treated. I will give her the live she deserves and so much more. I lay down and kiss Echo's head. I rap my arms around her stomach and pull her to me. She is so small and light. I guess that comes with not eating. I sigh. I will get her to eat eventually. With every thing she has gone through I understand not trusting me or any one else for that matter and it's ok. I will show her that it's ok and that I'm not a threat. I will slowly pull her out of her shell and show her off to the world. I will keep her as her just a little more open and not as timid and shy. I kiss Echo's head one more time and then drifted off to sleep.
