Ch. 22 A little while with Chase and Felipe.

(Echo pov)
When we get back to the castle, I shift to human and went inside. Asher meet me and hugs me. I hug back. "Are you ok?" Asher asked. "Yeah. Are you ok?" I ask. "No." He said. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Don't ask." Asher said. "Asher what's wrong?" I ask. "Don't ask. Please just don't ask." Asher said and he hugs me again. "Ok." I said. He buried his face in my hair. Then he sees Duke and he mouths some thing to him. I look at Duke and he nods. Then he left. "Echo you are going to stay with Chase and Felipe for a little while. They won't hurt you I promise. I just have some stuff I need to do and you can't come." Asher said. "Ok. Have fun. Come get me when you're done." I said. He smiles and kissed my forehead. "I will be done as quick as I can. My brothers said to go to their room. It's two doors down from my room." Asher said. "Ok see you later." I said and walked to Asher's room. When I got there I walk down the hall more and I found Chase's and Felipe's room. I knock on the door. "Come in." I hear and I open the door a little. They look over and smile. "Good you're here. Now Echo." Chase started as he comes over. "We are going to hang out with some friends and you are coming with us." Chase said. "As a wolf please." Felipe added. "Ok. How do I need to act?" I ask. "As you did at breakfast when you first got here. But remember you are our equal and we must treat you as such. So if you need some thing mind link with us." Chase said. "Ok. Did Asher tell you guys to treat me as your equal?" I ask. "No. Just you're like a sister to us. We care about you like you're our sister and that is the way a brother treats his sister. Besides you're the future queen. We have too." Felipe said as he came over to join us. "Ok." I said shocked. They chuckle. "Shift and we can go. I hate to say this but we do have to put a collar and leash on you. I'm sorry Echo." Chase said. "It's ok. I'm used to the collar and leash. Just please don't make it where I can't breath." I said. "We wouldn't think of it. Did the pet master make it so tight that you couldn't breath?" Felipe asked. I nod shyly. They look mad at this. "Ok." Chase said as they calm down. I shift to wolf and Chase puts a collar on me. "Is the loose enough?" He asked. I nod and he hooks the leash on the collar. I follow them to their car and we three got in the front. Since it has a bench seat. I rest my upper half in Chase's lap and he pets me. I purr a little and they chuckle. Felipe is driving. "Do you mind that I'm in your lap?" I mind link with Chase. "Nah I don't mind." He said and I close my eyes. The car started to move and we went so some one's house. Then Felipe honks the horn startling me. I jump a little and they chuckle. "Echo relax. I was just getting their attention." Felipe said. Chase pet me and I calm down. I lay my head down. Then a couple people come to the car and slide into the back seat. "Hey boys." Felipe said. "Hey." One said. "Hey. Let's get this show on the road." The other said. "Why do I smell mutt?" One asked. "Um about that Zack. We have Asher's girl friend with us tonight. Because he asked us to watch her. But she is in wolf form so she can't talk." Chase said. "Ok. But having her won't change our plans right?" The other asked. "No Roger. Our plans haven't changed." Felipe said. We went to a bowling alley. "Just the location. This bowling alley allows pets and Echo would still be considered a pet." Chase said and they got out. "Come on Echo." Chase said. I got up and followed him in. He has my leash in his hand. We went in and they look around. "This is way better than the other place. Why haven't we ever come here?" Zack asked. "Because we all used to hate pets but we've had a change in heart." Felipe said. I look around and see a lot of pets. Some humans and some wolves and wolf shifters. But what I did notice is that all of them look scared. Of course I don't blame them. I'm just thankful that my master is nice to me and happens to be my boy friend. They went to the counter and got their shoes. Then went to the alley they bowl on. I follow them and when they get to their table I sit beside it. They got their shoes on and then Chase looks at me. "Stay there and mind link if you need one of us." He said. I nod and lay down. I curl into a ball and watch them play. They play three games and then they decide to go eat. Chase grabbed my leash and I got up. I follow them out the door and to the car. We got in and drove to a dinner. That allows pets. We got out and went in. This place had water bowls out for pets st each table. But it didn't look that good. So I didn't touch it. I just lay down at Chase's feet and listen to the talk. I take a deep breath and smell Luke. I look around and out the windows. But I don't see him. I shake it off and lay my head down. I wait for them to finish and I look around. When their food came they ate and then they were done. They pay and got up. I got up and wait for Chase to take my leash. But instead Felipe does. I follow him no matter what though. We went to the car and I got in. I rest my upper half in Chase's lap. He pets me and they talk as we drive to their house. We drop them off and went home. "Echo shift." Chase said after they got out. I shift to human and he takes off the collar. "Did you have fun?" Felipe asked. "Kind of. I mean I didn't do any thing but it was fun watching you guys bowl." I said. "You mean watching Felipe lose." Chase said. "I did not lose. As I recall I had to more points than you did." Felipe said. "Echo who's right?" Chase asked. "I didn't look at the score, I just watched you guys roll the ball." I said. "Do you know how bowling works?" Felipe asked. "No." I said. "Next time we need you to bowl with us so we can teach you." Chase said. "Um ok." I said. "But only if you want to." Chase said grabbing the tub of popcorn he brought for after. He set a piece of popcorn on my nose. I look at it and then at Chase. "Asher said you have to eat something before you got home. So eat it." Chase said. I eat it and he holds out another on. I eat that one to. Then he looks at my neck. He gently brushed his fingers over my neck and I tense. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Just what are these scares?" Chase asked. "Oh those are from when pet master gave me shots." I said. "Why did he give you shots?" Felipe asked. "For a lot of reasons. Some times to make me heal so some one would buy me or to make me sleep and a million other reasons." I said. "So it was just you that he gave shots to?" Felipe asked. "Yeah. Because I was the only rogue and it's illegal to hurt a pack wolf." I said. "Why to make you sleep?" Chase asked. "I never slept in the pet shop and he would make me sleep so when the doctors came I was fully rested. But then I would go back to not sleeping." I said. "Was he gentle?" Felipe asked. "If you call beating me then jabbing the needle in my neck gentle then yeah he was gentle." I said. They look mad. "Pet masters were always stupid." Felipe said. "Oh well it's in the past and we can't do any thing about it." Chase said as he rubbed my back a little. I relax at his touch and rest my elbow on my knee. I rest my chin on my hand and they share a glance with each other. "So when should we do this again?" Chase asked looking at me. "Me?" I ask. "Yes you." Chase said as he ruffles my hair. "Um I don't know." I said. "Ok. Well next time we will have to bring you and Asher a long." Felipe said. "Ok." I said. We got home and got out. "So now what?" I ask. "Now you hang out with us until Asher comes to get you." Chase said. "But it's been two hours, he should be done by now." Felipe said. "If he was he would have meet us out here. So let's go to our room." Chase said. I follow Felipe to their room. Chase walks behind me and is glancing every where. I guess to make sure every thing is safe or some thing. Then a knife shots out. I push Chase back and I stumble backwards as he does. He regains his balance. But I fall and Felipe caught me. He rapped his arms around me in a protective way and they growl. I grip Felipe's shirt and bury my face in his chest. I hear Chase push some one against the wall and growl at them. "Guards!" Chase yells. I hear the guards come and Chase throws the person on the ground. "Lock him up." Chase growls. I hear the guards drag some one away. "You will pay for what you've done!" The person yells which makes me tighten my grip on Felipe's shirt. He sighs with relief and rubs my back with his thumb. I relax at his touch and look back. I release his shirt and hold my arm to me. "Who was that?" I ask. "I think it was some one who works for Luke. Because it wasn't Luke himself. But it's safe now." Chase said softly. "Sorry." I said to Felipe for gripping his shirt. "No it's ok. I don't care." Felipe said. I look down as my eyes tear up. "Chase are you ok?" I ask. "Yes I'm fine. What's wrong little one?" Chase asked softly. I wipe my eyes. "I just don't want some one to get hurt because of me." I said. "Let's keep moving." Felipe said as he stood to his full height. We went to their room and they closed the door. "Sit on the bed Echo." Chase said softly. I did as told and I curl into a ball. I rest my head on my knees. Chase sat beside me and started to sing. Soon after he starts Felipe joins him in singing and comes sits on my other side. Eventually I fell a sleep to their singing.
