Ch. 36 A blood drive.

(Echo pov)
I woke up on the window seat and look around. I see Asher a sleep in his chair. His wigs are gone and his phone in hand. Then I see Anna and Emma still a sleep in Asher's bed. I look out the window and see the sun is well up. It looks to be around lunch time. Then my stomach growls. I look back at Asher and I stand up. I take his phone and see he has a picture of me as a wolf as his back ground. I smirk and set it down. I look at Asher. "Asher wake up." I said. But instead of opening his eyes, he pulls me into his lap. "What?" He asked. "Asher it's time to get up. I think it's around noon." I said. He nods and yawns. "So you have a picture of me as a wolf as your back ground?" I ask. "How did you know?" He asked. "I saw it when I moved your phone." I said. "Ok. Well yeah. What else would I have for my back ground?" He asked as he starts to kiss my cheek and neck. I smile and close my eyes. Then the girls stir. We look at them as they sit up and stretch. I get up and went to the bathroom. They had apologized to me last night for miss judging me. But I still don't trust them. I took a shower and got dressed. I step out and Asher is at his desk. I went over and he glanced at me. Then he set his pen down and pulled me into his lap. He cuddles with me. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Anna and Emma still hate you and it's giving me a head ach." Asher said. "Would cuddling in bed help?" I ask. He tries to give me puppy dog eyes and I laugh. "You failed but I would love to cuddle." I said and with that he used his vampire speed to get to bed and lay us down. He keeps his arms rapped around me. But this time his head is under my chin. I rub his head and mess with his hair. He purrs and cuddles with me. We sit like this for a while. "So we have to go to the blood drive later today and help Anna with her job. It's the same job Chase and I do. So you are coming with Chase and I." Asher said. "Ok." I said. "When do we go?" I ask. "Right now unfortunately." Asher said and I giggle. We get up and he combed his hair out. That I had mess up and we left. We see a limo out side waiting for us. King Sam is there. "My uncle will join us." Asher said. "Alright." I said. We got in the car and Asher pulls me into his lap. I look out the window as the car starts to move. Asher messed with my hair. When we got to the city, every one got out. I look around and it seems familiar. I think this is where my aunt and uncle live. If they're still a live that is. I follow Asher to a bench and he puts me in his lap. I look around and sniff. I want to know it my aunt and uncle are still a live. "What are you doing?" Asher asked. "My aunt and uncle used to live here. I want to know if their still a live." I said shyly. "How about after this we search the records for them?" Asher asked. "If I can remember their names." I said. "What?" He asked. "I didn't see them much. Just once or twice." I said. "Ok." Asher said. I lean on him and close my eyes. They talk for a while and I would answer when some one would ask me a question but most of the time I stayed quiet. The lines of humans slowly shortened one by one.

After a good three hours we are done. "You guys go a head." Asher said. "Why?" Anna asked. "I want to walk home. Echo do you want to come with me?" Asher asked. "Please." I said. We got up and they others went to the car. We walk home as slow as possible. Because it feels good to be out of the castle. We talk as we went home. Some people look at me as we pace and Asher would always get protective of me. "Asher calm down. Their just looking." I said. "I know. But I feel like any one of them could be working for Luke." Asher said. "Isn't Luke still locked up?" I ask. "Yeah. That's why I've been getting protective if some one even looks at you in a way I don't like." Asher said. "What do you mean?" I ask. "Now I don't mean to scare you. But we found out he has people working him. So if they're loyal to Luke. Then they will be after some thing to trade with me to get their leader back. Chase, Felipe and I have a feeling that thing is you. So if they take you and threaten to kill you unless we let Luke go then I don't have a choice but to let Luke go." Asher said. "Oh ok." I said and then I see a man looking at me. Asher growls a little and I rest my hand on his arm to get him to stop. The man looked down as soon as Asher growled. But he looks familiar. "I'll be right back." I said and start to walk off. But Asher grabs my arm. "Where are you going?" He asked. "That man looks familiar. I just want to see if I know him." I said. "Alright. Mind link if he does some thing you don't like." Asher said and let go of my arm. I went over to the man. "You look familiar. Do I know you?" I ask. "Echo?" He asked. I nod. "It's me your mother's brother." He whispered. "Uncle Dug?" I ask. He nods and I hug him. He hugs back. "How I've missed you." He said. "Where's your brother?" He asked. "Aztec is back at Prince Asher's castle." I said. We let go of each other. "Why are you with a vampire?" He asked. "I'm his um." I stop my self. "Pet?" He asked. "No." I said. "Asher can I tell him I'm your girl friend? It's my uncle." I mind link with Asher. "Of course cupcake." Asher mind links back. "I'm his girl friend. Please don't hurt me." I said quickly and pull back. He gently takes my chin and makes me look at him. "Did he force you?" He asked. "No." I said. "Does he hurt you?" He asked. "Well he did for a little bit. But that was just a misunderstanding." I said. "Are you happy?" He asked. "Very much so." I said. He hugs me and I hug back. "As long as you're happy and safe that's all that matters." He whispers. "How is aunt Ann?" I ask. "She is fine. She is at home right now. But I will tell her you and your brother are safe and sound." Uncle Dug said. "Ok. Well I better go. I'll try to visit some time." I said. "Next time drag your brother here to." He said. I chuckle. "Will do. See you later." I said. We wave good bye and I went to Asher. Who is sitting on the ground pretending to be a sleep. I nudge his leg with my foot. But he pretends to snore. "Asher come on we need to head back." I said. He does nothing. I sigh. "Well I ain't dragging you back and apparently you ain't getting up. So I guess I'll leave you here." I said. He looks up at me and pouts. "What?" I ask. "I was hoping you would kiss me then I would get up." Asher said. "What kind of girl do you think I am?" I ask. "The one that gives their boy friend a wake up kiss." Asher said. I roll my eyes. "Like I said only in your room." I said. "Fine." He said. We walk home as we talk about random stuff. When we got home we were meet by Felipe. "What took so long?" He asked. "Echo found some one she hasn't seen in a long time." Asher said. "Really? Who?" Felipe asked. "My uncle." I said. "Ok. Well every one is waiting it's dinner time." Felipe said. We went to the dinning hall and sit down. Asher holds me in his lap. King Sam is here as well. They talk and eat. I just eat what I want and sit there quietly. When we were done, I got up and then Asher got up. We went to his room and I lay down on the bed. Asher closed the door and changed into pjs. Then lays down beside me and he rapped his arms around me. We cuddle. "Good night cupcake." Asher whiseprs as I fell a sleep.
