Ch. 42 I shift back.

(Echo pov)
I woke up on my mate's chest and his hand on me. He is still a sleep. So I nudge his chin and he wakes up. He smiles at me. "Morning princess." He said and he pet me. I cuddle up to him. He pets me and I relax on him. "Did you miss me?" He asked. I nod and he kissed my furry head. "You're safe now baby." He whispers in my ear. Then he looks at the time and then sits up. He stretched and I whimper. I was away from my mate for a month. I need some attention. "I know you need attention girl. But I need to have the doctor look over you. To make sure you're ok." Asher said. I nod. He got up and went to the closet. I lay my head down on my paws and when he came out he is dressed. He went to the door. "Stay there. I'll be back in a minute." He said. I nod and stay put. He left and a few minutes later he comes in with the doctor. The doctor came over and gives me a check up. "She is fine. But she will not be able to shift for at least two months." The doctor said. "Is there any way to shorten that time period?" Asher asked. "Yes. I can make it so she will shift some time today. But it's a shot." The doctor said. "Do it." Asher said. I shake with fear as the doctor pulls out a needle. He injects the stuff in my hip and then put the needle up. "Well she should shift some time today." The doctor said and left. Asher pets me and sits next to me. I crawl over so my upper half is in his lap. "Get some sleep baby." Asher said softly. I yawn and he rubs my back. After a few minutes I fell a sleep in Asher's lap.

When I woke up, I'm laying down on Asher's chest like last night and he is a sleep, with one hand on me and the other under his head. I snuggle with Asher and his hand on me moves back and forth in his sleep. Then I feel the need to shift to human and I gently get up careful not to wake Asher. I went to the closet and shift. I grab some of my clothes and got dressed. I dressed in long shorts and a white short sleeved shirt with a galaxy colored heart on it. I went back to the bed and Asher is still a sleep. I crawl on beside him and get on all fours over him. "Asher wake up." I said softly as I caress his cheek. He just moaned a little and I sigh. I tuck my hair behind my ear and lean in to kiss him. As soon as my lips hit Asher's lips, his arm fling around me securing me in place and he flips us. So Asher is over me and I rap my arms around his neck. We part and I cuddle with him. "I missed you beautiful." He whispers softly. "I missed you too." I said. He kissed my head and we cuddle. He lays down beside me and we cuddle for a little while. "What did I miss while I was in the pet shop?" I ask. "Not much. Chase and Emily went on their first date. But that's pretty much it. I worried about you a lot." Asher said. "You always do." I said. He chuckles and rests his hand on my head gently pushing my head to his chest. "Echo baby from now on when you go out side I need to put a collar on you ok?" Asher asked. "Ok." I said. "Let's go to the garden." Asher said. We got up and went to the garden. We sit down and I lean on Asher. We cuddle and then the dogs come in. They run around and we watch. Then after a while Duke and Aztec come to me. Duke rest his upper half in my lap and Aztec lays down behind me. "Did some one miss me?" I ask Duke. "Yes." Asher said in a deep voice to mock Duke. I giggle a little. "Well news slash she's mine." Asher said. Duke stood up and growled at Asher playfully. Duke layed down again and cuddles with me. I pet him. "Asher you don't have any thing to worry about." I said and take his hand. "Good." Asher said and kissed my forehead. "I'm glad to be home." I said. "I'm glad you're home." Asher said. Then Duke and Aztec start to growl. They stand up and got protective of me. Asher raps his arm around me and pulls me to him. Then Chloe comes in and we sigh with relief. I thought it was Luke or some one like that but thankfully it's just Chloe. I have never been happier to see her in my life. Chloe glared at me and then smiled sweetly at Asher. She twirled her hair on her finger. "Hi Asher. What do you say me and you go out to eat? Just the two of us." Chloe said. Asher falls back on the ground and groans. I rub his arm and he closed his eyes. "Asher are you ok?" I ask. He nods. I nod and Duke come and sniffs his face. Asher pets him and then Duke comes to me. He sniffs my cheek and I chuckle. Asher rapped his arm around me and pulls me down, so my head is on his chest. "What was that for?" I ask. "I haven't seen you in a month. I want you." Asher said. I nod and Chloe glares at me. "So Asher what do you say?" Chloe asked as she smiles sweetly at Asher. I rub the back of his hand with my thumb that rests on my belly, holding me to Asher's chest. "Ok. If I can bring Echo." Asher said. "Ugh but Echo is to clingy. I won't be able to get one word in." Chloe whined. "If you can't get one word in it's because Asher won't let you. Not because I'm clingy." I said. She glares at me. "Be quiet you brat." She said and kicked my leg. I sit up lighting quick and grab my leg in pain. "Ow." I whimper. Chloe left and then I pass out from pain.
