Ch. 37 A pack.

(Echo pov)
I woke up this morning and I am cuddling with Asher. He is still a sleep. So I slide out of his arms and made sure he is still a sleep. Then I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I got dressed and dried my hair with a hair dryer. I put it in a loose pony tail and walk out. I see Asher still a sleep. So I went over and crawl back into his arms, like I never left. He cuddles with me in his sleep and I cuddle with him. After a while, he wakes up and kissed my head. "Morning sleeping beauty." I said. He chuckles. "Wouldn't it be sleeping handsome?" Asher asked and I laugh. "Alright sleeping handsome." I said. He kissed my nose and got up. "You're ready. So now it's my turn." He said. I nod and hold my knees to my chest. I rest my chin on my knees and Asher went to the bathroom with some clothes. When he came out, he looked at me and smiled. "So after breakfast do you want to go for a run?" Asher asked. "Yes please." I said. He took my hand and we walk down the hall. "So after my run would you mind if I visit my aunt and uncle?" I ask. "Not at all. Just mind link with me when you're heading to their house." Asher said and kissed my cheek. "Alright." I said. We got to the dinning room and Asher sat down. He pulls me into his lap and we eat. They talk and when Asher and I were done we left. Asher walks me out side and we stop at the woods. "Now be careful. There is that wolf shifter pack in these woods." Asher said. "Ok. I will try my best to stay away from their territory. But if they do find me then I will apologize and explain my situation." I said. "Ok be careful and have fun." Asher said. "I have work to do. When you're done go to our room and stay there." Asher said. "Ok. Bye." I said. He kissed my cheek and left. I shift to wolf and run around. But then I hear growling and I see three black wolves. I whimper. "Shift." One growls and I shift to human. They shift to. "Time to die." One said. "Wait please. Don't kill me. Please let me plea my case." I said calmly. "Fine but you come back to the pack house and talk with our Alpha." One said. I nod and the other two grab my upper arms. I don't struggle. I just let them take me to their pack house. "Are you not going to struggle?" The lead one asked. "No sir. There is no point in struggling. I am too weak and if I did escape you guys would just catch me again." I said. He nods and they take me to a building and in. They take me to a room and make me sit in a chair. Then the Alpha comes in and I lower my head in respect. "So you're the rogue that was on my land." He said. "I'm sorry Alpha." I said. He looks shocked as he sits down. "Wow I didn't even have to beat you." He said shocked. I flinch. "Pease don't beat me." I said. "Well that depends on if you answer my questions or not." He said. I nod. "Why were you on my land?" He growls. "I didn't mean to come on your land. I just needed a break." I said. "A break from what?" He asked. "The vampire castle." I said and he nods. "So you were just out for a run?" He asked. "Yes Alpha. I truly wanted to stay off your land." I said. "Do you live at the vampire castle?" He asked. "Well not this one. But yes I live at a vampire castle." I said. "Which one?" He asked. "I live under the rule of King Barren." I said. He nods. "So you are here with the visiting prince and his brothers?" The Alpha asked. "Yes sir." I said. "Why?" He asked. "I'm prince Asher's uh girl friend sir. He is my mate." I said shyly. He just nods. "Alright. Come I will walk you to the edge of our territory." He said. "You're letting me go?" I ask. "Yes come on." He said. I got up. "Thank you Alpha." I said and follow him out. We walk to the edge of his territory and part. I shift to wolf and ran to the village. I shift to human. "Hey Asher I'm heading to my aunt and uncle's house." I mind link with him. "Alright. I'm in our room ready for you." He mind links with me. I walk down the road and I take a deep breath. I find their house and knock. My uncle answers and he smiles when he sees me. I smile too and he pulls me in. He close the door and we hug. "How are you?" I ask. "Good." He said. "You?" He asked. "I'm fine." I said. "Ann come here." He said after we let go. My aunt Ann comes around the corner. "Echo?" She asked. I nod and we hug. "Where's your brother?" She asked. "Back at prince Asher's castle." I said. "Why is he there?" She asked. "Because Prince Asher is my mate and Aztec wants to stay close to me but doesn't want to take me from my mate." I said. "As long as you two are happy and safe. That's fine with me." She said. "Asher is really nice. He's a great guy." I said. "Good. What happened to you when you guys were separated?" Ann asked. "Oh I was taken to a pet shop." I said. "Oh my word. That's terrible." Dug said. "How did you get away from Asher to come visit?" Ann asked. "I asked if I could." I said. "Really? So he sees you as his equal?" Ann asked. "Yeah. But I'm still getting used to it." I said. We let go of each other. "Come sit." Ann said. We sit on the couch and talk for a while.

"Well I should get back. Asher will start to worry." I said after a few hours. "Ok stay safe and if you need us mind link." Dug said. "Thanks uncle. I will try to visit some times." I said and left. I went back to the castle and Asher meet me. "Oh there you are. I was about to come look for you." Asher said. "Sorry." I said. He rapped his arms around my waist. "What took so long?" He asked. "Well I stay at my aunt and uncle's house a little longer because I had a run in with the pack." I said as I lean on him. "Did they hurt you?" He asked. "No." I said and told him what happened with the pack as we went to his room. I finish right as we get there. He close the door and I lay down on the bed. "So what will we do tomorrow?" I ask. "I don't know." Asher said and sat beside me. I sit up and lean on him. Then an owl flies in and drops a letter in front of me. Then flies out and I pick up the letter. It says Echo, so I open it and read. It says that my aunt and uncle want to talk with me and Asher can come if he wishes. "My aunt and uncle want to talk with me." I told Asher. "I guess you could go. If I can come." Asher said. "Alright." I said. "Well it's bed time." Asher said. I put the letter down on the night stand and I lay down. Asher lays down beside me and rapped his arms around me. We cuddle and eventually I fell a sleep.
