Ch. 5 A fake girl friend.

(Asher pov)
I groan. "Send her in. She won't leave until I see her." I said. Barren left. "Hey Echo Chloe is a princess from another town. She goes to school with me and thinks I'm her boy friend but I'm not. You are my one and only." I said. Echo nods and gets up. I got up to as Chloe burst into the room. Wearing a dress that showed a little to much and hugged me. "Hi baby." She said excitedly. I didn't return her hug. Just stood there in disgust. "Hi Chloe. It's nice to see you." I said but it was forced. I am forcing myself to be polite to her and I think Echo call tell. Well I'm glad she won't think I'm cheating on her. She is sitting beside me watching. Chloe kissed my cheek and my nose crunched up. I hate it when she kissed me. Then she clings to me. Great this is just as bad as kissing. Then she sees Echo and Echo seems to get scared. "Who is this?" Chloe asked but she is still clinging to me. "This is Echo my new pet. Now please get off of me." I said. Chloe got off but she cuddles with me. I hold her shoulders and distance myself from her. "When did you get a new pet?" Chloe asks. Echo went under the bed. I guess she likes it under there. I'll have to ask her when Chloe is gone. "I've had her a few weeks." I said. "She doesn't seem to be obedient." Chloe said as she cuddles with me again. I sigh and let it happen no matter how much I hate it. I can't stop it. "She is perfectly obedient. Even on stuff I don't care about." I said. "Really? Prove it." Chloe said. "Fine." I said. Then as if Echo knew what I was going to say, she came out and came over. She looks up at me curiously. "She knew what I was going to say." I said. Echo lowers her head in submission. I mentally sigh. I don't like it when she submits. But I can't tell her because she will think I will hurt her. "Any way Chloe is there a reason you came to see me?" I ask. She gets excited and cuddles with me. Then she hugs me and looks up at me. "My dad gave us his blessing. We can get married and I will come be with you." Chloe said as she put her hand on my cheek. The thing is I don't like vampire girls. They're all cocky and self absorbed. I want a girl like Echo who is pure at heart. I'm so shocked I do nothing and Chloe takes this chance to crash her lips onto mine. I try to push her off of me but she is holding to tight. Then from beside me Echo seems to get jumpy. Suddenly she jumps up and runs to the bathroom. Chloe parts from my lips and we look at the bathroom door. I go over and see Echo in human form sitting on the ground in front of the toilet. She wipped her mouth and looked at me. I go to her and kneel beside her. I set one hand on her back and rub her back in a soothing way. I gently grip her upper arm with my other hand to keep her steady. "What's wrong?" I ask. "I'm sorry. But when one mate makes out with another person that isn't their mate the other gets sick. I know there wasn't any thing from you that's just how it is." Echo said and looked up at me slightly. She flushed the toilet and used some toilet paper to wip her mouth. Then throws it way. "Asher is every thing ok?" Chloe asks from the distance. "Yeah every thing is fine." I call. I make Echo lean on me and rap my arms around her. "I'm sorry." She said. "For what?" I ask. "For not telling you sooner." Echo said. "No Echo it's ok." I said and kissed her head. She nods. "Do you feel better?" I ask. She nods and I move her hair behind her ear. "Well we can't stay in here forever." Echo said. I nod and she shifts to wolf. "If you start not to feel good run in here and I will know what is happening." I said. Echo nods and I stand up. We went back to Chloe. Echo breathing had hardened like she's catching her breath. I'm worried now. "So Asher baby when do we get married?" Chloe asked as she cuddles with me again. "Chloe we are Not getting married." I said sternly. She just laughs. "You always were the jokester." She said. "I'm not joking Chloe. I'm serious. We are Not getting married." I said. She finally saw how serious I am and sighs. "Ok but can we at least be friends?" Chloe asked. I nod and she hugs me one last time. Then as she left, I thought I saw her send Echo a glare. I sigh after she closed the door. Echo shifts to human. "Asher. Are you ok?" Echo asked. I turn a hug her. I rub her back and rest my chin on her head. "Yeah just a little agitated. Can I pwease hold you for a while?" I ask. "If you want to then sure." Echo said. I scoop her up and sat down in the bed. We sit like that for a few minutes when we hear a knock at the door. Echo immediately shifts to her beautiful wolf form and I get up. I went to the door and saw a slave. "Yes?" I ask. "The king has requested your presence." He said. I sigh. "I'll be there as soon as I can." I said. He nodded and walked away. I look at Echo. She is sitting down beside my bed in wolf form. "I have to go. Stay here and stay in wolf form." I said. She nods. I left. I pulled my door shut behind me and immediately felt that empty feeling again. Oh well I can't bring her with me. I went to see my father and when I got there I saw another person called a super king. My father is also a super king. In fact he is above a regular super king. There is usually one super king per content. But this one has two because the over all king, my father, lives here. He rules over every thing even the super kings on other contents. Now we still just say king so and so but he is higher than a king which will rule like a city or a piece of the content the super king rules. It really helps. Because then the super kings doesn't have to deal with every thing. Only the big stuff. "My kings." I said with a respectful nod of the head. "Asher my boy I have some news. King Jones's castle was set on fire and they can't stay there while it's being rebuilt. So they will stay with us. But since we do not have many extra rooms we will have to double up." Barren said. I nod. We do have a huge castle. The only reason we don't have many extra rooms is because we have a lot of vampires here with us. I just hope he doesn't mean Chloe will stay with me. Chloe is king Jones's daughter. But she has an older brother and he wants the crown do it goes to him. My older brothers don't want the crown do it goes to me. "So I hope you don't mind but Chloe will be staying with you." Barren said. My jaw clenched. But I nod in understanding. "I understand." I said. "What about your pet?" Barren asked. Barren really seems to like Echo and is really concerned about her. But I reassured him I will care for her. He really likes her as my girl friend. He only called her a pet because she would still be considered a pet and we have to talk that way in front of other kings. "It will be fine father. I will handle it." I said calmly. Barren nods and I left. I go to my room and I saw Echo laying at the end of my bed. "Echo shift." I said as I close the door. She shifts to her beautiful human form and I go to her. I hug her and she cuddles with me. I explained that problem with King Jones's castle. "So this means Chloe will be sharing our room with us." I said finally. "Ok." Echo said. "You seem so calm about this." I said. "Well I am just a pet. I shouldn't have a problem with this stuff." Echo said. I rest my hand on her cheek and make her look at me. "Echo I did not buy you just to have a pet. I bought you because I knew that you would be the one for me. You are not a pet you are my girl friend. But as long as Chloe is with us I need you to act as my pet. I have to treat you as a pet no matter how much I'll hate it. But then after I will make it up to you." I said. "You do realize you own me right?" She asks. I sigh and kiss her forehead. I hug her. "I may have given the pet master money but if I don't think I own you then I don't own you. But I will still give some miner orders like when I want you to shift or help me with some thing." I said. She nods. "And I must listen." She said. "But if you think I'm wrong or have an opinion on the subject tell me. But please after Chloe leaves." I said. She nods again but I don't think she believed any of it. I let go of her and she looks at me. "So do you want to stay in wolf form or human form?" I ask. "Human when she isn't here. But when she is I want to be in wolf form. Is that ok?" Echo asked. I put my hand on her cheek. "Of course it is." I said. I kiss her forehead. "Now I have one rule for you. Do not let any one drink from you except me." I said. "But how?" She asked. "Don't put your self in that situation and neither will I." I said. "But if you do get in that situation distract them as long as you can to give me time to get you out." I said. She nods. "Now go a head and shift." I said. She shifts and looks up at me. Then there's a knock at my door. I sigh and go over. I see Chloe. "Hello Asher baby." She said and hugged me. "Ok first get off." I said. She did. "Second you are only here because I can't go against my father." I said. "Oh Asher you are so adorable. But now you might give the marriage a second chance." She said and came in the door. She dropped her bags and I look for Echo. I see she is gone. I guess she's under the bed. "Echo come here." I said. Echo came out. "Shift." I said softly. She shifts and lowers her head in submission. I mentally sigh. I still don't like it. "Yes Master?" Echo asked. "Take Chloe's bags to my closet." I said. Echo nods and starts to takes Chloe's bags to the closet. But Chloe stops her and I get a little protective if Echo. Echo lowers her head as Chloe rounds to her front. Chloe lifts Echo's chin and moves her head back and forth as if she's looking her over. "Have you drank from her?" Chloe asks. "No I'm waiting." I said. "Why?" Chloe asked. "Look at her. I don't think she can survive as much drinking as some pet owners do." I said. "Ok." Chloe said and realised Echo. Echo went to the closet and did as told. Then she came out and turned to me. "That is all." I said. "Echo I want you to stay in human form." I said. She nods. "You will sleep on the couch." I add. I really hate doing this to her but I have to. She nods and sits on the couch. "Where do I sleep?" Chloe asks. "The other couch." I said. "Which side of the bed do I get?" Chloe asked. I sigh. "Oh well I guess I'll choose." Chloe said. Chloe sat down on the right side of the bed. I roll my eyes. "Fine." I said. I went to my closet and got changed into my PJ's. "I don't care what you do but I'm going to bed." I said exiting the closet. I got to my side of the bed and Chloe layed down. She patted my side of the bed. I got in and Chloe cuddles with me. I look over her and at Echo. She is laying down on the couch watching me. I give her a look that says I hate this. She nods in understanding and then she closed her eyes. I don't want Chloe in my arms. I want Echo in my arm. But eventually I fell a sleep.
