Ch. 23 School is back.

(Echo pov)
I woke up and hear two people snoring. I look up to see Felipe. I'm shocked but I do nothing. I wait for him to wake. He woke up after a while with a yawn and looks at me. "Good morning." He said. "Why am I in here?" I ask. "Because after we told Asher what happened yesterday. He wanted you to stay with us and we said yes." Felipe said. "Ok. Is that Chase I hear?" I ask. He nods. I nod and we talk for a while. Then Chase wakes up. "Man you're soft as a teddy bear. I slept like a baby with you my arms." Chase said. Felipe laughs and I felt the warmth rush to my cheeks. They laugh and then get up. "Come on time for breakfast." Felipe said. We went to the kitchen and I sit beside Asher. "Did you sleep ok?" Asher asked. I nod. "She wasn't the only one." Chase said. We eat quickly and then Asher made his lunch and mine. "Echo let's go." Asher said. I shift to wolf and he put a collar on. "Is that loose enough?" He asked. I snuggle with him to say yes and he clips on the leash. I follow him to the car and we got in. I lay down and he drives to his school. We got out and went in. I follow Asher down the hall and he got what he needed. Then Josh comes over. "Hi Asher. Hey Echo." Josh said as he leans on the lockers next to us. "Hi, when should we get together? How about tomorrow since it's Friday." Asher said. "Ok we can go bowling. Bring your brothers too." Josh said. "Alright. But they said the place that allows pets is way better than our regular hang out." Asher said. "Ok let's do it." Josh said. "I'll tell the others." Josh added. Asher nods and we walk down the hall. We got to his first class and some of the others glare at me. Asher growls quietly. I flatten my ears on my head and whimper. Asher sat down and I sat beside him. Some of the other pets send me apologetic looks but I have no idea why. I look down and whimper. I guess no one here likes me. Except for Asher, his friends and his brothers. When class was done, Asher got up and I follow him down the hall. He got to his locker and Chase comes up. "Hey can I take Echo during lunch?" Chase asked. "Why?" Asher asked. "I want to hang out with her." Chase said. "What's the catch?" Asher asked. "I was going to introduce her to some friends of mine." Chase said. I whimper and shake with fear. "Sorry Chase but no. She stays with me. I just don't want any one to hurt her." Asher said. "Besides she still isn't used to getting up that early." Asher said and I yawn. "Fine. Can she take a nap with you then I hang out with her?" Chase asked. "Fine." Asher said. Asher and I went to his next class. When the bell rang Asher jumped up and I struggle to keep up with him. He got his lunch and then Chase comes comes. "Hey can I please borrow Echo for a while?" He asked. Asher looks at me and I shrug. "Fine but get her back to me with enough time to eat and get some sleep." Asher said. "I could feed her." Chase said. "Fine. Here." Asher said as he hands my leash to Chase. "Is it ok of I get her to shift?" Chase asked. "If she wants to then sure. But if she doesn't then you leave it be." Asher said. Chase slightly tugs on my leash and I follow him. He went to his group of friends and leans on the lockers. "Shift." He told me and I shift. "Yes master?" I ask. He outs his hand on his chest. "It pains me to hear you call me master when you are my equal." Chase said. I'm a little shocked. "Um what should I call you?" I ask. "Chase duh." He said. "Ok." I said. "Boys this is Echo. Asher's girl friend. If any of you hurt her I will have you killed." Chase said growling the last statement. "Fine we won't hurt her but that doesn't mean we have to like her." One growled and I step back. "Fine. But I thought you would love the person that saved my life." Chase said pretending to be hurt. "What?" Me and the others ask in unison. "The other night in the hall." Chase said. When I realized he was talking about when I pushed him out of the way of the knife I become shocked. "I didn't save your life. I literally did what any other person would do, pushed you back." I said. "But did any one else do it?" Chase asked. "No but I think." I start but he puts his hand on my mouth. "You are to hard on your self. Give your self some credit. Lighten up a bit geez." He said. "Any way, we were walking to out room when she pushes me backwards, weirdly I stumble backward and she falls back. Felipe caught her and then we see a knife. I'm guessing she sensed it and reacted. But then Felipe raps his arms around her in a protective way when we sense human. I found the guy that threw the knife and locked him up." Chase said and grab my waist. He puts me in front of him and holds me there. "So she saved my life and probably a lot of other lives to." Chase said. I felt the warmth rush to my cheeks as I realize I did save his life. He chuckles and pulls out an apple. He sets it on my head. "What? You couldn't balance it on my nose?" I ask. He laughs. "No. But I told Asher I would feed you. Now eat it." Chase said. I take the apple. "Isn't this your lunch?" I ask. "A part of it. But I only eat the steak. So you can have the apple." Chase said. "I can't accept this." I said simply. "Yes you can. Now est it before I shove it in you mouth." Chase said. I bit into the apple. "Any way, when can I teach you how to bowl?" Chase asked. "I think Asher and his friends are going bowling tomorrow." I said. "Ok. Now what do you think of her?" Chase asked his friends. "Meh." One said. "Are you just trying to get people to like me?" I ask. "Smarter than you look. But yes." Chase said. "Why? I don't care what people think of me." I said. "Asher does, Felipe does and so do I." Chase said. I roll my eyes. "What ever. But I don't think it will work. Some people once they have made a decision then there's no changing their mind." I said. "Well I'm as stubborn as you are so I ain't giving up just because you don't care." Chase said. "Fine." I said. I finish the apple as they talk and then I yawn. "Alright it's high time I get you back to Asher." Chase said. He took my leash and lead me out side. We went to  Asher and Asher looks up. "Here. I failed with my friends. But I'm still trying." Chase said as he hands Asher my leash. Asher nods and Chase left. I sit down and Asher pulls me into his lap. So I'm sitting sideways and leaning on his chest. "Did you eat?" Asher asked. I nod and he smiles. He rapped one arm around me and worked on paper work for a while. "Alright shift." Asher said. I scoot out of his lap and shift. Be takes my leash and got up. He went to a group of people and talked with them. Then I smell Luke and I look around. Then I see a knife launch at Chloe. I pull on my leash. But Asher won't let go. I slightly bit his hand just enough to make him let go of the leash. "Ow! Echo!" He said as he drops the leash. I ran towards Chloe and jump on her. I got her out o f the way of the knife. But it lodged it's self in my back and I fall to the ground. Chloe popped up. "You little!" She started but stopped once she saw the knife mad gasp. Then I shift to human. Asher appears at my side and every thing went black.
