Have you heard the sound of silence ?
Its deafening to the heart
Have you heard the sound of tears ?
Crashing like a thousand darts
Have you heard the sound of shattering hopes ?
Lying in pieces on the ground
Have you heard the sound of abandoned dreams ?
Lost in the darkness never to be found
In the spaces and silences between us
I have found and collected them
Like a musician searching for a new sound
All seem similar but not the same
I wrote and bled and composed
And poured it into the words
Because both of us can feel
The sounds that can never be heard
