Your alarm rings at 5:45
You will not snooze it today
You have been up all night
Thinking about your last day
Wear your uniform for the last time
You love it, but you will never confess
It has seen your tears, laughs and fears
It is more than just a green dress
Look at your reflection in the mirror
Look at how much you have grown
There are more memories and dreams in your eyes
Than on the first day, when you were four
Board your yellow school bus
No one is busy with their homework today
You cried when you first entered here
And you will cry on your last day
Fill your eyes with the red buildings
Encase the images in your heart
You look at your childhood friends
And all of you all want to go back to the start
You climb the stairs slowly
Today no one runs fast
You think maybe if you walk slow enough
Time won't fly, and this may last
Last assembly, teachers scolding
Sounds sweet to your ears
And you think about how this school
Has been home for 12 years
Your friends and teachers a family
School was not a place, but a feeling
And on your last day, for the first time
You won't be happy to hear the bell ring
The day will come to an end
Time will run out like sand
You are afraid to step out in the world
Scared, because the future is in your hand
Today for the last time
You will roam the basketball ground
Your voices will die out, as
You will get lost in the silence around
You did many difficult things in school
Today you will not lie
Maths was hard, chemistry was harder
But the hardest is the goodbye

A.N. So today was the last day of my school life. I would be stepping into a new phase of my life in few months and I don't know how I am going to live without my dummies who have always been there to pick me up. So this poem is dedicated to all of them !
