Do not blame the victim,
Blame the culprit
But also blame the society
That says things like, -
"Boys don't cry" and "boys will be boys"
Because rapists are not born,
And rape does not happen in a day
Blame the society
That glorifies films, with voiceless women and dominant men
Because that's not the mindset anyone needs to have
Blame the society,
That romanticized a woman's no into a secret yes
Because we need to understand, a no is a no
Blame the society,
That teaches us, to be a girl or a boy
Instead we need to be taught to be humans
And maybe then, there will less beasts
Blame the society,
Where it is normal for a rape case to go on,
For five years
Even when, one girl feels insecure
It's the failure of the whole society
Even when one girl is raped,
It is the blackest day in history
Today, we want all the rapists to be hanged
But today, we also want a change in the minds
After all what is the society ?
It is made, of you and me
So it is time for a change,
Time to look beyond he and she,
Time to redefine humanity
