That creeps up your spine
Strangels your throat
Sucks in all the air
Cracks your voice
And pools in your eyes
Fear is the thought
That numbs your brain
Speeds up your heart
Chills your blood
Stiffens your body
And looks for an escape
Fear is the image
Of being in the violent sea
Cruel winds blowing
You are not drowning
You are fighting for breath
You are neither alive nor dead
