Nothing Lasts Forever

Chapter 2

TORIS POV

"Em! Em! Em! I shout down my phone!"

"I know Tori! You have to say yes!"

"Trust me, I really want to! I will have to check with my parents." I say dismissively.

"Yeeah, you do that! They are soo cute" Emily gushes into the phone. As I hang up I go to sleep happy. This could change our lives I think. Emily will definitely be included in anything I do, she encouraged me to start my youtube. I owe her.

THE FOLLOWING MORNING

TORIS POV

I wander downstars smelling bacon, I skip over to my mum to tell her the good news.

"Sooo, Mum. Dad" I begin

"Last night Emily called all crazy like because, I got a email. This email is a proposition. I got offered a job to film, edit and be a photographer for a upcoming band in Sydney!"

I watch my parents. Look at each other and back to me

"Tee.." My dad begins,

"No, no come on dad this could be my big break!" I explain getting defensive

"Mum! Tell him!"

"Well I agree with your dad Tee, school is top priority at the moment, but.."

"Uh but nothing Joanne shes staying in school"

"No dad thats so unfair! For you it maybe but not me, this is all I want to do. You always tell me to follow my dreams, and now your backing down. What the hell?"

"Tori Rose!" My mother shouts

With all the comotion we never noticed the front door open.

"Matthew!" My father greeted

I spun around and ran to my brother

"I missed you so much I cry into his shirt."

"You too Tee, what's all the yelling about?"

So I tell him, he knows about my youtubing. He also agrees that mum and dad are crazy for not letting me take this chance. I knew he would understand. As I wander into the living room I overhear Matthew and my father talking,

"Come on Dad, what the big deal? Let her take this chance"

"Mathew, no she can't be a drop out thats not what I had planned for her!"

Typical I thought, only thinking of himself. I trape back upstairs to my room and flop on my bed. There's a knock on my door. Now what? I think to myself as i go to open it. I see my parents on the other side.

"Tee can we speak to you, seriously for a moment?" My father pleeds.

I wave my arm and they follow me in.

"About this job.."

My father begins

"You're mum and I talked Tee, this is important to you right?"

"More than anything in the world, yes"

"Then, you need to take this opportunity by its reins and go with it. You don't know where you could end up."

My mum tells me. Man my mum and her inspirational speeches.

"Thank you, Thank you!"

I shout as I leap into my parents arms,

"Don't worry Dad, I will do school do, I can do both"

I promise them

"Good on you Tee, now I believe you have a email to send."

My dad says as he and mum leave.

I pull open my mac and start to reply:

Dear Mr Peterson
My name is Tori James -Aka Justtori. First off thank you very much for your encouraging words, they truly made my night. I would love to work with your clients 5 Seconds Of Summer. My partner and I would love to meet you to discuss this further.

There I think to myself. The start of my new life. That reminds me I better let my partner know about this. Although Emily can't work a camera at all, she will not be missing out on this adventure. I skip across the road and egeraly knock on Emilys door.

"Oh hello Mrs Campbell, is Emily around?"

I question as Emilys mum greets me. She smiles amd points upstairs I follow her direction and head up to Emilys room.

"Heey girl, Heeey" I great my best friend and pull her in for a side hug.

"Tori! Have you meet 5sos yet? Does Ashton smell as good as he looks?" She giggles.

I'm proud of Emily, she hadn't totally written off boys. Especially after what he who must ntt be named put her through.

"Well, not yet! You see Em. I need a partner, you know kinda like a assistant?" I being

"Tori?"

"Annnd since my mum is lame, I relised hey that Emily's not half bad. Thats why I'm here Em wanna join me on the adventure?"

I look over to Em, her mouth open her eyes bulging. Shes lost for words as she screams

"YESSSSSS"

I laugh at her reaction. I take her laptop and check to see if the boys management have contacted me back. Suprised i see a new email pop up.

Dear Tori James
Thank you for getting back to me. I believe you will have school tomorrow as do the boys. So I would like to meet you and your partner Wednesday evening at Starbucks at Northwood mall say 7? I will bring the boys and the contract for you to look over. Let me assure you, this job will not affect your school work or normal youtubeing. I look forward to meeting you in 3 days.

With that Emily and I exchange excited glances amd plan what we will wear to meet 5 Seconds Of Summer.
