"Here.." Gemma pushes a gun into her bag.
"Gemma!" Liv hissed, "You know I don't like these." Liv forced the gun back to her.
"You're going to have to now, darlin'. If somebody didn't know you were Jax's old lady, they're gonna know now.." Gemma said gesturing towards her belly. It hadn't grown so much yet.
Liv shuddered. Being the vice president's old lady came with risks. She pushed away any fearful thoughts. Of course she knew what the club was capable of...what Jax was capable of. It had never backfired on their loved ones before but since Jax has been doubting Clay, anything could happen. She trusted Jax with her life but she wasn't sure if bringing a baby into this world was the smartest idea. Liv cursed at herself for letting Gemma get to her. She grabbed the gun and put it in her purse. Liv knew how to handle a gun. Jacob was the one who taught her.
Liv remembered the day Jax got arrested for the first time. This was one of the "requirements" to get patched in. She was at the bar with him. Liv had a fake ID that Donna helped her get. She sat there next to him with a beer. It wasn't until that night that she realized what anger and rage really looked like.
A man had put his arm around her. Insisting he buy her a drink. When Jax came out of the bathroom he broke a pool stick in half and nearly killed the man. Liv screamed for him in the side. She didn't stop screaming until the police arrested him. He gave her one last look before they cuffed him and took him away. That was also the night Jacob found out about the two. Liv sat at the table with Gemma while Clay and Jacob went to pick up Jax. She had just finished crying when the three walked in. Liv jumped into his arms.
"Had no idea you two were so close.." Jacob's eyes had gone dark.
Both Clay and Gemma eyed each other.
"Alright, let's hit the sack.." Clay gestured for them all to go.
Liv stood uncomfortably with her pastel green mini skirt and white tee.
"Heard Unser tell Clay you were there, Olive" Jacob spoke.
Liv shrugged.
"How long have you two been sleeping together?" Jacob spit.
Liv stared with her big eyes unsure of what to say.
"Aye, man it's not like that.." Jax shook his head and tried putting his hand on Jacob's shoulder only for Jacob to push it away and get in his face.
"You better stand down, bro." Jax pushed him then.
Jacob threw the first swing. Liv yelled in the background again with Gemma. The two boys yelling at each other and breaking vases. Clay got in between them.
"I asked you to give her a ride home, not treat her like one of the damn croweaters!" Jacob yelled at Jax while wiping blood off his nose.
"It's not like that!" Liv yelled this time. "I'm not a little girl anymore, Jake."
"What? You've got feelings for him?" Jacob asked with a scoff.
Liv didn't know what to say again.
"You gotta learn to accept what's going on. I love her." Jax stated matter of factly.
Liv remembered how surprised she was by those words. She approached him and kissed him after she heard him say that.
As soon as the two got to the nursery store they went nuts on shopping. Liv even forgot that her and Jax were in a fight.
It wasn't until Liv walked into her new home with no one to come home to, she felt herself become small. She ordered Chinese food and sat on ground with the tv on in front of her.
Liv then heard the motorcycle pull up. She hopped up to look for Jax, only to be disappointed to find Half sack outside of her house.
"What's wrong?" Liv asked worriedly.
"Jax just wanted me to tell you to not wait up"
"Where is he?" Liv scrunched her eyes.
"He's with Opie" The young man said.
Liv nodded and decided to call Donna again.
"Liv!" Donna yelped.
"Donna, are you okay?" Liv asked.
"Yeah, we're finally home. The feds wouldn't leave us alone. Jax is in the back with Opie talking."
"Oh, good. I'm so glad you guys are okay." Liv let out the breath she had been holding over Donna and her family. Liv still couldn't seem to let go the breath over hers.
She unzipped her dress and put on a Fleetwood Mac T-shirt. Jax always teased her for liking them.
Liv found herself fast asleep. She woke up a few hours. Liv felt his body sitting at the end of the bed. She crawled to him and wrapped her body around his. He brushed her off. And with no energy to argue with him she went back to sleep. Liv was able to hold her ground when it came to him but if she could avoid it she would...especially now that she stresses out for two.
When she woke up, she was in bed alone. Liv walked to the kitchen to find a shirtless Jax with a cigarette in his mouth.
Jax quickly put it out at the sight of her. Liv made herself a cup of tea and sat across from him trying to mentally prepare for the conversation to come.
"I have to take care of you and the baby now. You aren't part of the club. You're an old lady."
Liv blinked.
"Old lady" she laughed. "Sorry, didn't get the manual." She rose up from her chair.
"Olivia, I'm serious." Jax raised his voice.
She snapped her head at him "Having this baby does not mean you have to start keeping things from me. I already feel you pulling away, Jax. You know, I didn't go out of malice."
He shook his knee. She could tell he needed a smoke.
"My old man's manuscript: he said there's only two ways an old lady makes it. Either you tell them everything, or you tell them nothing." Jax stared at her.
"The baby and I will be okay." She looked at him hopeful. "I trust you...you're going to have to trust me."
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to sit on his lap. Jax grabbed her face and kissed her.
