Liv awoke with a wet, cold compress on her forehead.
"Abel!" She jolted up, reaching for her bag.
"It's not two o'clock yet." Jacob reached out to push her back down on her bed.
Liv looked over at her clock. He was right. It was a little past noon. She rubbed her head suddenly feeling light headed.
"I'm not leaving, Jake." She drank the glass of water he placed out on the bedside table for her. "What you just told me...about our parents, it's not pushing me to leave Charming. If anything, it's making me want to stay and find out what really went on."
"It was no accident, Olivia. If you go digging, you're gonna end up just like them. Get out of here."
She glared at him knowing he was right.
"How do I talk to Jax about this?" She had to take Abel.
"Better if you don't." He stated, avoiding her eyes.
"Are you insane?" She stood up trying to balance herself. "And leave him without a clue? I'd be breaking his heart again."
"You'll be breaking it either way. I haven't told him about our dad's copy...what JT's note said for a reason. He'll go looking just like you. He'll take down whoever he has to including Clay."
"What does it have to do with Clay?" Liv pressed for answers.
Jacob regretted saying anything about the man.
"Donna's death confirmed who he is." Jacob sighed admitting he had put the pieces together. "And I'd be glad to see him be taken down but taking him down means more blood."
Liv couldn't believe what she was hearing. She feared for Jacob. Did Clay have any clue about what they all knew?
"You'll be killed if I leave" This was all she could say. Jake wasn't Vice President or Sargent at arms. He didn't have any title to him that could protect him.
"You'll be killed if you don't." He looked into her eyes once more "Don't go looking into anything, Liv. It'll set off an even bigger shit storm. Jax is only getting an inkling of all this shit now."
"Why did you stay?" She sighed.
"I've gotta protect my brothers. I'm in too deep now."
Jacob's usually humorous and light personality was put to bed in this very moment. It shocked her. It wasn't something she was used to.
Liv felt there was more to it.
"You're trying to get the price of our parents' deaths settled."
Jacob gave her a side glance that left her standing there with the most horrifying feeling.
"And the club had something to do with it." Liv bit at her nails.
A roar of motorcycles startled them both out of this excruciating conversation.
Jax arrived with the prospect. He took off his hat and gave Liv a concerning look. Jacob patted his shoulder and went on out.
"What happened?" Jax pulled her in.
"Just more weight being placed on my shoulders. Can we talk about it later?"
Jax nodded "I've gotta pack all the guns."
"I'll go check on your mom"
Jax thanked her. She left with the prospect following after her.
"It's open."Gemma called from the kitchen with a cigarette in hand.
"Morning. Doing okay?"
"Sure" Gemma shrugged her shoulders.
