The next day Liv did her best to not think about Jax and Gemma's words. She focused on work. She later received a text from Ryan reminding her about brunch. Liv had completely forgotten about up until then. She drove over to the restaurant they were meeting at during her lunch break.

"Hey! I'm sorry we had to come right before noon!" Liv came tumbling in.

"It's okay! I didn't realize these would be your hours now." Ryan held the chair out for her which she thanked him for.

They caught up and talked about the years they dated. Ryan was kind to her and treated her well. He accepted the fact that she grew up in SAMCRO even though his family wasn't too keen on it. Jax's involvement in her life bugged him but not to any crazy extent.

They were both startled when they heard a knock on the glass next to them. Liv looked next to her to notice an unhappy Jax. He then came waltzing in making his presence known.

"You have got to be kidding me, Liv. Helping the club, sitting on my lap, and then leaving last night in a hurry. I totally get it now." Jax was pissed.

Liv rose up putting her hand on his chest, "I don't know what you're talking about, Jax. Calm down." Eyes were already turned towards them.

Ryan stood up protectively which made Jax livid. He pushed Ryan back down in his chair. Liv noticed that same murderous look in his eye. She knew all too well what he was capable of.

"Jax, if you really need to talk to me let's do it somewhere private before you do something you regret." Liv stepped up to him.

"Like, what? Hurt your little boyfriend? Act like a whor--?"

Liv had slapped his face before he could finish his sentence. She left with tears filling her eyes.

Liv went back to work. Discipling kids and getting ready for the annual fundraiser that Gemma and her will be running together this year. It raises money for the school district. This was something she was excited for. Gemma and her will probably bicker but they always pulled off something spectacular. They had done it together twice before she went on to university. She had helped with so many other charity events, it was only right to call the 'A Taste of Charming' fundraiser her own.

She received calls from Ryan to make sure she was okay and calls from Gemma which she quickly declined. The earlier incident must have gotten to be the talk of the town.

A knock came to her office. It was her secretary, Ms. Perkins.

"Ms. Cayce, there's someone here to see you...a Jax Teller?"

Liv's eyes shot up from her laptop "You can send him in, Natalya."

She obeyed and a few seconds later those daring blue eyes walked in. He closed the door. He wasn't wearing his kutte. Jax knew she would tear him to pieces if he stepped into a school filled with children wearing a gang symbol.

"Thank you for not wearing your leather"

He nodded at her.

"Okay, I'm sorry." He looked down at his white shoes.

"You called me a whore, Jax. You took this whole thing way out of context." Liv spit out.

"What are you doing back here, Liv? Really, is there someone you're running away from?" Jax got closer to Liv. He was angry.

"What?" No one could have matched her facial expression, "I missed my brother, Jax. I missed you..but if this is how it's going to be for the rest of it, I might as well move back to Los Angeles."

"Don't you get tired of it? Running."

"I'm not running. I'm just being realistic, Jax." She looked down at her lavender fingernails that matched her vintage swing dress.

"Call it whatever you want. The minute things get hard, little Olivia packs her bags and hits the road. Well, I guess you got what you wanted from me, right? Comfort."

"That's not fair"

"Not fair? You know how many women I've slept with in the last 6 years?

"Please don't do this.." Liv inched backwards lifting her arms like a wounded child.

"Hundreds! Maybe even more, I don't know. I barely see their faces. It was just a sad time-out. Because when I'm inside someone, there's only one face I see. When you came home, it was like some kind of sign to me. Like my past coming around to give me another shot to do this different; better. And now that chance is running back to Los Angeles." Jax gave her one last angry kiss before he stepped out.

"Jax, wait.." Liv was uneasy. She kissed him again. Things got heated up quick which later led to her locking her office.

Moments later Jax was helping her zip her dress back up.

He turned her around and brought her in for another kiss. Jax smiled at her...hand on her face.

"I'm heading over to Nevada in an hour." He told her.

"To see your uncle Jury?" She asked him.

He nodded. A frown began to form. She noticed the sudden face change.

"A patch over?" Her hand lifting up to her mouth to cover a non existent gasp. "You think he'd go for it?" She questioned.

"I don't know, Liv. Clay says it could benefit both clubs." Jax looked unsure.

"You're doubting, Clay?" She lifted her hand to his face now. Liv was confused. Ever since she's known Jax his whole heart was for the club. Never doubted anything he believed in or in who...

Jax sighed, "I've been reading J.T.'s old manuscripts. I guess I've just been thinking about the whole club thing a little differently."

"Your dad wrote a book?" Liv chuckled a little, "Who knew J.T. had writer brain...what he talk about?"

"Just about the club earning straight. His doubts and his fears."

"We both know your dad wasn't so happy the last few years of his life. I just don't want anything clouding your judgement. If you've been disagreeing with Clay, make sure it's coming from your own thoughts...not nobody else's." Liv was always his sound of reason.

He nodded and gave her one last parting kiss.

"Jax...you know we have to talk about us, right?" She asked nervously.

"We can talk when I get back." He squeezed her hand and left.

Liv ran her hands through her hair.
She decided she'd leave work early today since she finished all that she needed to do. Leaving her vice principal in charge was something she was comfortable with. Liv wanted to be at the garage to say bye to everyone but she mostly just  wanted to talk to her brother.

When she arrived at Teller Morrow everyone was already heading outside to their bikes. Jax had left earlier with Bobby so they can have a quick conversation before Clay headed up there with the rest of the boys.

She caught her brother's arm "Be careful, Jake."

He pulled her in for a hug and let her go. He got in his bike. "Heard you got into it with Jax at the diner?"

"We resolved it...kinda."

Jacob laughed at her response. Liv noticed Tig looking upset as he was talking to Clay.

"Heard there was gonna be a patch over" She said quietly.

Jacob nodded, "They need protection from the Mayans and we need storage."

Liv kissed his cheek and made her way towards Tig as everyone waved them off.

"Is Clay not letting you get pussy?" She laughed.

"Wish I could say you weren't right.." Tig sighed and went back inside the clubhouse.
