[Lector]
(Lector and Sting are walking to Sabertooth)
Sting has been acting strange recently, Lector thought. I just know, as his best friend, that he's trying to hide something. I wonder if he's still shaken from the war. No, that can't be it..
"Sting-kun?" Lector said.
"Yeah?" Sting replied, looking slightly unfocused.
"Are you alright? You just seem a little different this morning..."
"Really? How so?"
"You just seem...off. Like, kinda quieter. Just a feeling..." Lector trailed off, looking intently into Sting's eyes. "I just want you to know.. that you're best friend, and I am always willing to listen when you are feeling down. So you can always trust me if you have something troubling you. Okay?"
Sting sighed, looking away from Lector.
"Thank you Lector, I really appreciate that. It's nothing really, it's just that I've been having... dreams, lately."
"What kind of dreams?"
"Well, dreams doubting Sabertooth's past, present, and future, as well as my own. It's just been so hard to lead the guild, and erase everything Jiemma established. It's never going to go away. All of the members still have memories of when the guild was unforgivable and cruel. I feel like Jiemma is still here, watching and plotting against me. And also...about you know who."
"Oh Sting..." Lector said sympathetically, having no idea his friend was so pressured lately.
"You've made Sabertooth into a better place than before and that's all that matters. Times change, and sometimes we just have to forget, especially the one that caused the change. I mean come on, have you seen Minerva? She had been so unknowing of values other than strength, but because of you, her personality is completely different now. You've done more then you realize. So come on, let's just move forward instead of looking past our shoulder."
"And about her, you know she has long forgiven you. If she is willing to forgive you, then you should forgive yourself too."
Sting choked up, moved by his friend's words.
"Thank you Lector, that was what I really needed to hear. I just have to keep my heart set on the future."
"One more thing," Lector added, a sudden gleam in his eyes,
"Since you made me a promise years ago, I suppose I should make you one as well. From this day forward, I, Lector, will do everything and anything in my power to get you to be with her, and be the one to eventually marry you two."
"WHAT?! I think Minerva's stupid romance novels are rubbing off on you! That's one thing about her I wish didn't change!"
Lector winked. "Sorry, but that's a promise that I intend to keep!"
After a rampage by Sting, he finally settled down. Lector could feel his friend happier and more relaxed.
"I need to re-adjust my composure as the master." Sting said before barging in, running his hand through his spiky blond hair, and fixing his clothing.
"Alright! Enough of the soppy stuff. The master of Sabertooth has arrived!" Sting hollered as he rammed full force into the guild doors, and bumped into none other then:
