Minerva was sitting in her apartment, reading her new book. After a while, she decided to go and cook lunch. She made a huge cake and portions of exquisite tropical foods out of a recipe book Rogue had given her. It had been so wonderfully sweet of him, and he surprised her even further by admitting he loved cooking and would like it for them to cook together sometimes. And damn, he really was a good one.
While mixing the cake batter, Minerva started thinking.
Why are relationships so much more complicated than in romance novels? I wish I could get Rogue to be like the prince, always there to catch me when I fall, even if I am independent as hell. Well, better win over more of his attention by surprising him and making his favorite: mango cream layer cake.
She knew at this rate, the both of them would become as fat as Sting when he overrate that one time at the Eating Competition. Of course, after years of trying, there was still no one who could beat her.
She remembered a few days ago, how he had stayed extra long just to talk with her. When she had mentioned baking cookies with ingredients only found in Magnolia, he had been so eager to offer and get them for her, and help bake them when he got home, even going past his fear of trains and extreme motion sickness.
Ah.... Minerva sighed dreamily, just thinking about Rogue's handsome face and defined body made her smile and blush. It was so unlike her usual grumpy attitude ... somewhat vulnerable. But in a good way.
She put the cake into the oven, sat down and stuffed her face with all the food she had made. She had such a large stomach capacity, even more than both of the frickin' dragon slayers, though she never gained a single pound.
Happy and content, she washed the dishes and walked back up to her room.
Ah, it's nice to take a break for a while. That last job took a lot out of me. I'll just read until the cake is done... Just wait and see, Rogue, Come on home, and be charmed!
