Lector Ships It! (A Sting x Yukino and Rogue x Minerva Fanfiction)

Chapter X: Return

[Sting/Yukino]

Sting had been worried sick. Yukino still hadn't come back from her job from two days ago, and he was starting to become anxious. It evening already, and it only made him more concerned. What if Yukino and Lucy' s keys were stolen, and they had no way to defend themselves? They could be severely hurt without them...should I pay Fairy Tail a visit and see if they are okay?

Lector noticed Sting's paranoia, and knew exactly what was going on.

"She'll be fine Sting, come on she's really strong in her own. She. Will. Be. Fine. She probably just stayed with Lucy and hung out."

"Okay, Okay, I know, I know. I'll wait a little longer..."

Sting still sat on the bench in the hall, filling out forms and looking out the window once in a while.

Suddenly, seeing Yukino's approaching figure, Sting jumped up so high and fast that he banged his head onto the ceiling.

Yukino! She's back!

"Yukinooooo!!!! You're back safe!!"

Throwing the door wide open, without thinking, he embraced Yukino and wrapped his arms around her.

Yukino was so surprised, and she stiffened, never before held like this by a man. She blushed a deep red as she felt Sting's strong arms encircling her, and his toned body pressing against hers.

"Sorry, I was so worried...I didn't think that you would be gone that long.." Sting was
flushed as well now, also feeling like an idiot that he had done that.
A guildmaster who can't even hug the person he likes? Pathetic.

"It's alright. I appreciate it, thank you."

Then Yukino melted into his hug. He felt so safe, so warm, just like Lucy's home. I guess the love in friendship is the same everywhere.

"Yukino?" Sting asked, jolting Yukino back to the present. They were still holding each other tightly.

"Yes?"

"Would you like to go on a job with me? Just you and me? Uhh...Tomorrow at 7:00? 7:00AM?"

Yukino smiled. "Yes, of course! Thank you Sting!"

"Oof, let go of me a little you're squishing me!" She giggled, as Sting still bear hugged her.

"Sorry! I guess I'll ...pick you up from your apartment tomorrow?"

"Okay. I'll be ready by 6:45."

Sting then tilted Yukino's chin upward. Yukino was mesmerized by his deep blue eyes, like the ocean itself deep and full of meaning.

"Good night M'Lady."
Sting reached toward her hand and kissed it lightly like a gentleman.

Yukino's body tingled everywhere, from the tip of every finger to her feet. Is this what it's like to be in love? I have to give him something too of course...Yukino was surprised by her own bold thought.

"Goodnight M'Lord."

Yukino leaned over and gave Sting a quick peck on the cheek. Then she turned and left, no word to say, internally screaming, leaving behind a dumbfounded Sting, and a celebrating Lector.

She kissed me on the cheek. Yukino Aguria just kissed me. Freaking kissed ME!? Wha?!?

Sting was completely stupefied and just stood there looking out into space. He really could not comprehend what had just occurred. For the first time in his life, he was kissed by a girl! And by far the only person he had ever loved! On the cheek!

Lector had run shrieking into the guild as soon as he had witnessed Sting and Yukino's "moment" and now he came running back with Rogue and Frosch in tow.

"How is it that, Yukino, sensible, smart, and absolutely freakishly organized Yukino, just decided to kiss you? You two are nothing alike. Only thing you're good for is being loud, rowdy, and destroying everything that is intact."

"Rogue...Stand back for a moment."
Sting doubled over and threw up all over Rogue's shoes.

"What the hell was that for?! Those were brand new!"

"Frosch think so too!"

"Sorry... you weren't fast enough. Too late."

"Ugh, whatever."
Rogue's eyes glowed dangerously at the offending smell and look of Sting's vomit all over his feet.

"So sorry... I think I just need to go back to the apartment before I have a panic attack...Alone."

"Alright, Lector, Fro and I will meet you there at some point. I'm going to the guild bath, to wash my shoes. Come on guys."

In the bathhouse, Lector and Rogue burst out laughing and laughing. Frosch just looked confused the whole time.

"Rogue ... remember we're going to follow them and take pictures with this camera... send it to Mirajane, and make a scrapbook. The Stingyu portfolio will be complete! Eeee!! This is like a dream come true!"

"Fro knows!"
Rogue hugged Frosch so tight it made Lector just a little bit jealous.

Then they left to deliver their secret weapon.

Sting stumbled into his apartment, distraught and feeling simply terrible. As soon as he even thought of Yukino's soft kiss, bile rose in his throat and he rushed to the toilet, violently puking. After bending over like a lifeless rag doll for a while, he wiped his mouth with a wet paper towel and sat up.

I'm so tired... I'm going to go take a nap.

As soon as Sting was in his room, he wobbled and fainted onto his bed, in a very unmanly fashion, out cold in a minute.

Meanwhile, Rogue and Lector had traveled to Yukino's place and slid in the mailbox a small envelop with a note inside...
